Congratulations on the job, meara! Seattle will be lucky to have you (while the rest of the country pouts).
Ha! Not only are we stealing meara, but Jen is definitely planning on moving to SF. I drove her around today before her flight and she was rapt with the fog, architecture, ocean and vegan eateries.
Take
that
East Coast, you stealers of Sparky and Emily.

I always wonder what would have happened if I'd actually bothered applying to a college. I went to the local community college and almost got a degree in cosmetology, then decided I was interested in music and audio engineering and switched to that department. I didn't bother with applying to any colleges because I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, and I knew that my parents wouldn't be able to help me pay for school.
Yes, I am one of the poster children for slackerdom, thankyouverymuch.

This is the kind of thing that will jinx you with flea moving to Cincy, you know.
Cincy's westward too.

I am aware of this, yes (although they're not my preferred dealer). If we were to head west, the best place to land fencing-wise would be Portland, which is also tremendously appealing in many other ways.
If everyone moves out west, I am going to cry forever. Come on, people! Some of us have to stay east of the Mississippi!

I'm with you, babe. Occasional Portland daydreams aside, I'm sticking around (although I wouldn't mind sticking around in a way that didn't involve being
quite
so close to the in-laws.)

Portland IS fantastic. I wanted to move there.
I'm moving to Seattle.
See how that works?
