[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

My MIL is in town until Wednesday morning, so we're about to go shopping. She's buying us an anniversary present, which will probably be a food processor, the only major kitchen appliance we're lacking. (We have a mini one that my mom told us was all the food processor we'd ever need. She was wrong.)
Oh, and here's the first of our weekend getaway photos:

Look, Lee, she's out of pasta.
My hair has been feeling rather dry lately, probably due to the lack of humidity here, and EVOO is great for the hair and the scalp. With how much I color and blow dry mine, I should do this weekly... I'm just not that dedicated.
thanks for the offer kt. Mark & I are gonna do movies.
Nicole has beautiful hair. Hmmmm. Is there olive oil in my future?
Thanks! Ginger, you work from home quite a bit, right? You could easily spritz your hair with olive oil (or just slather it on while bending over the bathtub, like I do) and then either wrap your hair in a towel or use a plastic cap. I leave it on for about an hour and then rinse and shampoo/condition as usual.
Olive oil is also great for chapped lips, your feet, hands, nails... the list goes on and on.
Gratuitous Shoe Post (GSP)!
These may not be as pretty as many of the flats out there, but they are the most comfortable shoes EVER. Like slippers. And they look cute on and go with my work clothes. I bought them in the "toffee" color.
I also bought another cute pair of Mary Jane semi-flats, but I can't find them online. So alas! Maybe I'll take a picture later.
I love those shoes, Kristin. A friend of mine owns a pair. I've been wanting to get a pair in black, I just can't quite justify the cost yet. But they will be mine one day.
Not shoes, but still WANT!
You know... after I re-do my floors and finish renovating the kitchen and come into an obnoxious amount of money so that I can afford the renovations as well as the hit I'll take when I sell my current place.
My stupid skin is sensitive to a lot of cosmetics, so olive oil is one thing that's relatively neutral, and something I can use. I use bath bars with olive oil base and herbal extracts, rather than more commercial and more heavily scented soaps. My body butter and hand lotions are olive oil based, and the creamsicle sugar scrub I make myself is simply sugar, olive oil, and orange and vanilla extracts. I also use plain olive oil to moisturize feet and ankles, cuticles, and rough elbows. In short, I develop a sensitivity to olive oil and I'm hosed.
Hi. It's me again. Erin, it's good to see you back!
