Back from the M's game. We've now lost 5 in a row.
On the plus side, playoff tickets ARE awfully expensive.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

{{{GC & GF & family}}} You are in my thoughts. Please let me know if I can do anything.
Eep, Toddson! Wishing good thoughts for your sister.
So much job~ma for birthday girl meara!
Also, requesting interview~ma at 7ish tomorrow morning -- mostly from the East Coast and UnAmerican Bitches, since all the West Coasters will probably still be either in bed or gronking. (Except Suzi, whose ~ma I do most humbly request.)
School is back in session. Not only will I be up, I'll be most of the way to work! So job ~ma will be coming from me, too.
Hope the dentist visit went well, Trudy.
So tomorrow is student orientation. Ack! I'm not ready for them! Must scramble to Staples for remaining supplies.
Also? The schedule is beyond screwed up here at school. OMG so very screwed up. Beyond belief. Students with overlapping core classes and all science labs missing screwed up. I was on the Scheduling Task Force last year, so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that nothing we'd planned for actually came to pass in any workable format. The students are *not* going to be amused when they realize how bad it's going to be. Sigh.
I have signed up to be on Revenge of Scheduling Task Force. Hope springs eternal.
Much ~ma to GC's GF's dad~~~~
{{{GC & GF & family}}} All kinds of ~ma.
Trudy, I hope your tooth is okay. How's your hip??
Happy birthdays, meara and Jen!!!
So tomorrow is student orientation.
Have fun!!
The schedule is beyond screwed up here at school.
That is so not good. Things have been a bit wonky at my school this past week, but not that bad. Our rosters have been changing almost daily, but after today, they're dropping kids who haven't shown yet and trying to balance out numbers. I hope to have fairly stable rosters by the end of the day Friday.
New job is going well. Commute to new job sucks old donkey butt. I'm spending a minimum of 2.5 hours in my car every day. That's way too freakin' much. Especially when gas prices jumped up $0.16/gal today from yesterday.
Trudy, how's your tooth doing?
Kristin, you have my sympathies about the FUBAR scheduling.
Today is my mother's birthday. I called, first time I had the nerve to talk to her in months. Kept it short, which helps enormously. Turns out, my brother Dan's house got hit by lightning. There's a hole in the roof, and a buttload of fried appliances, and some fried plumbing as well. Much rejoicing that there were no injuries, and no fire. More bad news - one of Dan's high school friends' 20 year old son died of some kind of overdose - accidental, rather than suicidal, as far as they can tell. Still, sucks beyond belief for that family, and all their friends.
GC, I'm so sorry. Much peace to your GF and her whole family.
Thank for all the well-wishes. I'm home waiting for GF to get home to get all of the details. We're going to see him tomorrow afternoon.
continued ~ma to all who need it.
I'm closing a strange theatre today. They gave me keys and codes and combinations and left me here with a crew who are also unfamiliar with the place while they all went to a BBQ. It's going to be fun closing tonight!
Much ~ma to Toddson's and GC's families.
And a hint to Gloomcookie -- at least half of your job is to keep GF sane. However it takes.
Which is why you'll never hear me criticize Mission to Mars, despite its reputation. I took Hubs to see it so he could keep sane while his mother was dying.
As I said, however it takes.
Damn it. I'm getting heart palpitations (mitral valve prolapse -- click murmur), and I can't find my medication. It's not really dangerous, but it's really irritating, and there's a release of adrenaline that accompanies the palpitations, and a rush of adrenaline when I'm doing nothing more taxing than lying on the couch reading is really not fun -- my body thinks it should be reacting to something, so all my senses are on alert, but there's nothing there, and it's a crazy feeling, the chemical reaction of "Danger! High alert!" when there's nothing happening.
