I posted some hair pictures.
Lovely. Very pettable.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

ugh. I really don't feel like going out tonight (either energy wise or spending the money), but I think that my friend is having a "last night in DC" Thing is, he's one of those people that always abandons friends when he's dating someone. I've called him on it several times, and finally just resigned myself to the fact that he's never going to be as good a friend to me as I am to him (even with not close friends, I have a certain standard :)). I haven't heard from him since his going away party a few weeks ago. Heard from a mutual friend this afternoon that there might be something tonight. Got home, saw I had a VM message from him. I don't really want to go. I feel vaguely obligated, but at the same time, I really don't feel like we're friends any more.
I vote other plans , vortex. and tv or a good book count
I vote with beth. It's one thing to be torn when it's your zero-energy up against someone you feel fondly towards--this guy sounds like he's eroded goodwill.
Be good to yourself.
Stay home.
Oh lord, yes. Out of the house is not the place to be right now anyway. Like walking through boiling aquarium water. Thank god for ac and free will.
ooo I can afford free will! ;)
I get to leave work now, at nearly 8. Drive home with bosses video camera, to transfer a video of a cello player playing a song; burn to dvd and bring back to work first thing in the AM. Joy. Rapture. We really need a small video edit system here at work. Every season we are doing SOMETHING with video.
I might indulge in a bit of Xbox tonight, if anyone wants to play IM me, or ping me in LIVE.
(the good thing about leaving work now... no traffic! woot!)
Know what's morbid and creepifying? Watching Simon Tam making out with Dawnie Summers in a Lifetime Original Movie [link] . After all the clients went to bed, co-worker found that while surfing and had been just waiting and waiting to see the movie.
I can has brane bleech nao, plz?
Heh. I think I know the friend Vortex is talking about. And yeah...if you didn't go out with him, V, I think you should just remember his going away party fondly, and think of that as his going away, if you know waht I mean. Because god knows I hardly saw him living int he same damn city, I figure I will lose him forever when he's gone away in a different city. Stupid boy.
Huh. Whodathunkit? I killed the thread. Maybe this will help - cute story from work.
Yesterday at work, the client, A, who sometimes gets violent, channeled her energy into conversation. A lot of conversation. She told us about seeing a baby in the doctor's office at her last appointment, and said, "You have to be nice to babies."
New boss lady, M, responded, "You are supposed to be nice to everyone - babies, children, and grownup men and women."
"Why?" A asks why a lot.
At this point, M had reached conversational exhaustion, and could not come up with yet another satisfying answer to A's endless questions. So I rescued her with, "You have to be nice to everyone, but you don't have to be nice to a one-eyed, one-horned, flying, purple people eater." Which brought on the giggles from all around the room, and inspired another client to start singing. Soon, A and R were on an infinite loop of the song. I told M I was almost sorry I had said what I did. After a few choruses, A's pronounciation had degenerated into "One-orned poopoo eater". Which may or may not have been deliberate. Either way, much more fun than wrestling her to her room to keep her from attacking other clients.
