[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired

I have an odd career. Today for work I'm going to be watching as many of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies as I can. A few of the folks working for me on this project will be joining. We'll probably start in about half an hour.

On Sunday we do Friday the 13th. We already did Texas Chainsaw Massacre on Tuesday.

Why must each of these series have so may movies? There are 7 Nightmare movies, and 10 of the Friday the 13th movies. Oh dear doG!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

But eventually, you get to watch Freddy vs. Jason, right? Because that's loads of fun.

Oh yeah, that one is on the list. The only one I'm missing right now is Jason X, and I'll probably try to pick it up tomorrow.

That one is also really fun, though I think it dichotomously straddles the line between straight horror and parody without ever picking a side.

Yeah, I saw that one at the Cineramadome when it came out. It was a lot of fun.

Just got out of my end o year review with boss and his boss. For the 3rd year in a row it went very well. Actually best yet. Lots of glowing things from boss o boss, and my boss supporting me WONDERFULLY.

The big difference is, this year I actually said something when big boss asked "is there anything you would like to add..."

I brought up the whole pay issue. And actually said "I love working here, I have the best boss I've ever had, and I love my co-workers, I just don't know how much longer I can AFFORD to work here..." Big boss face got a little colder, but didn't explode. And had an ok discussion of the point. I doubt it will add a significant amount to the "cost of living adjustment" that comes next week, but I finally put it out there in a F2F.

So, I'll put out a request for pay~ma (my first ~ma request in b.org) and hope that it results in a healthy pay increase next week.

Good luck, omnis. That's a tough position to be in!

Is everyone off having a weekend? It's quiet in here!

Though I'm about to go find myself some food, I think. Possibly some magazines. We'll see how entertained Target and a chain restaurant or two can keep me (I can walk to those, or a Home Depot. Much as I'd LIKE a drill for my head, I think I'll pass). I'm thinking tonight I may try Harry's Hofbrau House. Yippee. (Ugh. I'm in such a shitty mood. I definitely think there will need to be some Target fancy chocolate shit)

t edit: and on second thought, googling the menu tells me I am staying far far away from the hofbrau house. ew.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm on the online dating roller coaster again. He seems cool and cute. Into theatre, open minded, bi-cultural and when I asked for guilty pleasures, he said "I don't think all of the Sci Fi channel that I watch is a guilty pleasure, because I don't feel guilty about it. I love the new Doctor Who" I am trying not to wibble.
I know I am wibbling. Can't see why you wouldn't be too, Vortex.

Trip and stress recovery. And I really need to do laundry and stuff too.
