Sadly, I just returned from happy perky land, in the form of the volunteer orientation for the Decatur Book Festival, where we were told to remember three F words: flexible, friendly and fun. Also, annoying F word person, there was no need to spend half an hour talking about the wonders of seeing authors in person, except to waste our time with famous people you have hung out with. When we were asked who went to last years' festival, we all raised our hands, and all but about three people had volunteered last year. I have a "bored, now" headache, and I am contemplating another F word.
sorry for the bad days - but yay for good bosses. and standing up for yourself.
keeping all the job ma~~ going but sending some to my friend T - a man in his fifties that just got reorged out.
I worked and worked and worked today. I got tons done, but it was a grind because last night ,for the second night in a row, it was wake up and solve all the problems of the world at 3am.

OK, this is just strange.
Annabel thinks pictures of Suri Cruise are her. She points to them and says, "That's Annabel."
Thing is, I kinda see the resemblance. Which is weird, because DH and I do not at all resemble TomKat, and Annabel is very obviously and visibly our kid.
I can see it too. And I think a child Annabel's age is self-centered enough to recognize the resemblence and assume the pictures are of her.
You have to admit--both girls are cute!
I'm having a school panic, where I am going over all the things I have done wrong wrt school and feeling like it is all impossible. Someone want to distract me?
