And now my boy's in love. All hearts and flowers. But, doesn't it freak you out that she used to change your diapers? I mean, when you think about it, the first woman you boned is the closest thing you've ever had to a mother. Doing your mom and trying to kill your dad. Hm. There should be a play.

Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Clearly too cool to be an accountant.

I should've done the interview prep reading this weekend...just got a call from my recruiter and am getting a call from someone in half an hour. It's the HR person, not the actual manager for the position, but....eep?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Felicitations on the Anniversary of Your Natal Day, Robin! Wishing you a day full of presents and candles and wishes and Cake! And a year of new adventures in nesting in your new home!

Fred Pete, let me wish you Felicitations on the (day after the) Anniversary of Your Natal Day. I hope the day was happy and that there were presents, and cake with candles for wishing. May the upcoming year be full of love and laughter, friendship, good work and good play.

In local news, it's 95 here, and officially Too Damn Hot. Where's my Donald O'Connor and Marilyn to sing it to me?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Wrong thread.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Should I make a tomato salad with cheese or a cheese salad with tomatoes?

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

am I a bad person? My Aunt was slated to visit starting Thursday. My house is a wreck. My head is a wreck. I wasn't really looking forward to hosting (even tho she was getting a hotel). As my fathers side of the family goes away on vaca with no clue of what they want to do while there, and leaves to the locals to find "something interesting" for them to do.

I got a note that hotel availability in my area was so small that the prices were too high, and that she's going to cancel the visit. I did a small happy dance. I'm such a bad nephew!!! :: head->desk ::

ION, lovely So Cal Edison decided it would be a good idea to turn off my power for just a minute to upgrade my meter during a "snooze" section of my morning. So my alarm never came back on. o ya, makes for a lovely morning. ::head->desk (again...harder)::

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Oh god, I have a new timesuck on the interwebs: [link]

It's a social networking site based around people posting photos of their outfits. They have a section for gothic. They have a section for steampunk.

Jilli, what is steampunk clothing? I'm only just barely beginning to understand the concept of steampunk and cyberpunk in terms of literature.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

For some reason I'm picturing a gang of Starbucks thugs entering your cafeteria and smashing the place up....

Yeah, that's not gonna happen. I'm literally in the most secure building in San Francisco, probably the entire West Coast. They have their own police force. There's a firing range inside this building.

Jilli, what is steampunk clothing?

Quasi-Victorian crossed with Mad Science. Brass hardware, goggles, looking like you've escaped from a Jules Vern story and are about to threaten people with a raygun.

Mostly lurking...

Sorry for the boring quilting updates, but I got the first border on this quilt and had to share. Take that, Grandpa!
