[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Totally. I was at DSW last night and saw lots of sugar flats.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

The status is NOT quo.

I just have never thought I looked very good in flats, especially given the verra short thing. I'm willing to be convinced otherwise, though.

I got the ones I just linked to at DSW. Love that place.

Wait. So, no flats means you wear heels all the time? I could not do that. I love heels, but I just can't really do them on a regular basis anymore.

Kristin, you would look totally adorable in flats.

I wear flip flops all the time at home. At work, though, yeah. Heels. But not real heels--sandals mainly. SoCal is good that way.

Dog is my co-pilot.

Kristin, I feel the same way about flats, but given my hip that needs to be replaced, I can't really wear any heel at all anymore and I also need shoes that slip on and off without me having to reach them for any reason. 'tis why I gave up my awesome platform shoes to lisah.

Anyway, I need to find new dress shoes. Never had much use for them since I never dressed up for work. I've been a nurse for 30+ years. I wear scrubs. It's like wearing pajamas to work. Now, however, I'm starting my academic teaching internship and will need to dress like a business casual grownup. I need to go clothes shopping. Before Monday. Being about 50 pounds overweight, I hate this.

Agreed.

Danskos might work for you. I like the not-clog bottoms on the Golden Gate styles because I find them more stable and they have a slightly lower arch (better for those of us with flatish feet).

The professor for whom I did the lecture tonight -- as a favor -- neglected to tell me that she wasn't really scheduling me for class time, she was telling them they had to stay late and listen to me. Ei-yi-yi-yi. Some of them were not happy, and I couldn't blame them. I tried to be as entertaining as possible.
