The Elphaba I saw last weekend in Chicago was really great. In profile, she looked like Chloe Sevigny. Glinda was HIGH-larious. And very, very teeny. Teeny teeny teeny.
Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I'm on the phone with Emily. She's cracking me up.
Apparently her cat has tried to kill her on her drive this morning.
Also, she is surprised at how small Cheyenne was.
Vortex, if you can't get the stain out, you can buy an inexpensive mattress cover for your move, so that the movers won't see the stain. When you get the new mattress, it can be used on that one to avoid staining it.
I'm still on a lousy sleep schedule, despite my efforts this weekend to get back on a normal one.
Did you also see the Coffin Luggage Plus, Coffin gift boxes!
I actually have a pretty strong suspicion that it's entirely accountable to the difference between performing for a live audience and performing for a microphone with pantyhose in front of it, inside a claustrophobic glass booth.
quite possibly. I mean, I like Idina, but I was blown away by Stephanie's voice. I remember hearing her hold that final note in "The Wizard and I" and thinking that "Defying Gravity" was going to be AMAZING. And it was.
3.5 hours of sleep last night. OTOH, the house is starting to look like people live here and are not just breaking a squat
Dear lord, Raq! I'm sorry if we made a bigger mess, yesterday (at least you had Todd's cookies to console you?). I'm v. excited by the new books! Though I didn't end up reading any of them last night.
ION, I fell asleep at my desk and was just awakened by a tenant. D'oh!
I hope a phonecall, and not in person or anything! Eep!
I managed to cobble together what I hope is a good-sounding cover letter. Applied for that job. That's three, in Seattle, that I've now applied for. Which is all of the possible jobs for me in Seattle, I think. Bleah. And it is now past 9AM there, so they can start calling me now, eh? (er, except I still haven't done all the interview-prep "find good examples of good shit" stuff. Doh)
Happy Birthday, Robin!!!
It's Robin's birthday?! Happy Birthday, Robin!!!!!!!!!
So, no one wants to hear about how Bastet is trying to kill Emily while she drives?
It's Robin's birthday! Happy, happy birthday, Robin! With cake and all kinds of happy!
Bastet should not kill Emily. I'm just saying.
Bastet trying to kill Emily while she drives sounds like something that should be videotaped and put up on youtube.

Yep. Pretty much the same experience I had with Eden.
Plus, after having seen it twice, even the I think Kristen Chenoweth is better than our Glinda (who's still fantastic), Chenoweth still doesn't sound right on the CD during "Popular." She's not completely out of breath from Glinda-ing around the stage.
