Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

You have to remember that the actual drinking of Fernet can be kind of a shock to the system, but it makes you feel so much better afterwards. It's a strange effect. It's also a superlative hangover cure, not that I would know anything about that.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I feel warm and fuzzy.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

We are shooting it, chased with Veuve Clicquot.

Um. Have fun???

(Fernet & champagne **in the same night** is in the List of Things Juliana Is Not Allowed To Drink, along with tequila (on its own self). And something else, but I forget what.)

Thrive to spite them

I went to the Atlanta F2F with a bit of a lingering cough and feeling unwell, then I took a shot of Fernet and it all cleared up.

My snap judgment is that Fernet is a steam punk beverage.

I'd interested to hear why you have this conclusion. I think I agree with it....

I took a shot of Fernet and it all cleared up.

See!! It really is fantastic (it just tastes... strong).

purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Fernet.

Am home and have TWO, count them TWO, open bottles of Fernet. Don't ask. Or blame juliana. Or something.

Fernet chased with champagne sounds AWESOME...but using Veuve seems like a waste, really!

I am SO rolling my eyes at the HR guy at the second Seattle company. He was *totally* clueless when he did my preliminary interview. Which, OK, he said he was new to the industry, and it is kinda technical, fine. But he didn't seem to have any idea what he was talking about--this wasn't even just "reading down a list of requirements, have you done them?" kinda thing. It was "So, um, did you work on any drugs? like, things that are pills? or injections?" But OK, you're new to the industry...but sending me an email to set up travel and saying "Does Raleigh have an airport"?? Dude. (A) You have my resume. I'm not in North Carolina. And (B) Raleigh has an airport. It is not especially new, or small. WTF?

I'm getting the pig!

The forgetting of an alcoholic beverage that you should Never Ever drink again is soooo a v. bad thing.

Why do I keep thinking today is Thursday? And why the hell isn't it? Tomorrow should totally be Friday. Can someone please get to work on making that happen?

Nicole - I am once again trying to negotiate a job in your neck of the woods. I want to stay here but work for them there - with the potential of relocating after next June. I doubt they will go for it, but I'm asking anyway.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

We're not mixing, we're sipping the Veuve Cliquot. I think we're done with Fernet for the eveniing.

Why steampunk? The flavor to me tastes antique and complex at the same time. It's a combination of flavors I never would have come up with but I'm finding the meld quite pleasant. STRONG but pleasant.
