You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I just don't have the energy to say lets plan to get there early. But if you happen to get there early send me a text.

edit: I've barely started packing. Right now I am taking the shoelaces out of my work boots to put into my docs.

reedit: If I stay up all night reading Buffy comix, you wanna meet for breakfast?

Now I am going to be there early. Dennis was giving me a ride but when I told him 8:30 he said, "here's $40 for a cab"

Hey my nephew just handed me an ice cold Guinness!

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Sorry that your tour will come via curmudgeon-o-vision.

Don't knock it, I love it.

Our wings are not tired

To be honest, by the time I get down there and get my car into a lot for the day and up to the terminal I'm just going to want to clear security and head for my gate. I'm already going to have to be on the road by 6 AM to make sure that I'm there with a good buffer to make my flight.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

This is too cool not to post here: my therapist is in the NY Times Magazine! [link] Bec is in the therapy group covered in the article, though not a focus, for lo, she is doing well.

And with that I am mostly packed. Of course for a trip this short packing involved grabbing my ziplock of toiletries, a shirt, a pair of socks, underwear, and the TomTom GPS and throwing them all into my computer backpack. The joys of a short trip.

Now I'm just making sure I've got some TV prepped and ready to go for watching on the iPhone.

Dennis bought Buffy season 8 for me! I don't need no stinkin' iPhone.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

When do you get back, Drew?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Do your students have school email accounts?

No, they don't. I do have a web page on our school site and I can update it at will. I can easily post things there, but not all my students have home computers/internet access.

Re: bathroom passes--depends on age and school rules, but I've found a clipboard sign-out sheet hanging by the door with a generic hall pass to be effective for high schoolers.

That's good. I have middle schoolers, but I think they could do that.

I still don't know the building rules. We go over that on Thursday, I believe, so some of my class procedures will need to be adapted to fit the school policies. But, not a biggie.

And now, I must go to bed. I is a tired chickadee.
