[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

SA is adorable.

I'm in class right now. Ready to be done now.

Seattleistas, I will officially be in your town Monday night...dinner, perhaps? I think I get in around 5:30ish...but I do then have to get to Bothell in time for an early sleep and interview prep.

I think this is most do-able. Plei, where do you want to try for food? I'm guessing we need to go for a Tickybox-friendly restaurant as Meara probably wants to meet her. Of course, if you'd rather hog Meara's time, then I recomend Crave.

Oh, I lie! I just looked at the travel schedule--*SanFran* on *Thursday* is when I arrive around 5:30ish.

Seattle I arrive at 2:53PM. *Plenty* of time to have some fun and dinner and still get a good night's sleep. (Um...since I've never been to Seattle before, would anyone be able to do a little "This is Seattle! You want to love it" tour?). Am staying at the Country Inn and Suites in Bothell, apparently it's close to the place.

They said they'd arrange a car to pick me up and take me there, and back to the airport the next night (the hotel has a shuttle to get to the interview). I don't leave the next night until 11:30pm, but not sure if I might have to do dinner or what (or just be meltingly exhausted).

Our wings are not tired.

I think I need to run my fingers through SA's curls. So pretty!

I got my hair cut! It's quite fetching, I think. [link] [link]

That is a great haircut. You look absolutely delectable.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

SA=very fetching!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I feel very cute

Good, because you ARE very cute. I love the new 'do and the very sassy hat!

IMemememeNews: I am oh so very tired. Left home at 6:30 am, got home 16 hours later. New teacher orientation from 8-3 then I met up with my co-teacher at our school. She's the music teacher and we co-teach one class and direct 3, count them 3, musicals together over the course of the year. So, today, we put together our show schedules and went over some other stuff and then went out for Thai food. I like her a whole lot and think we'll get along well.

Now, however, I'm getting all panicky about having everything ready for next week (Wed) when school starts. I'm going to spend the day tomorrow working on my room, organizing, etc.

Thursday, I'm going to get to meet with the teacher I replaced. He retired after 20-plus years and he said he'd share all his materials with me. Big time Yay!

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Deep breaths, ChiKat. Focus on getting systems in place--systems for attendance, for parent communications, for seating, for bathroom passes, etc. I know it sounds hopelessly mundane, but good, solid systems will get you through the year. (You likely already know this, but I'll share just in case!)

You'll never be totally ready, but you're going to be great!

(I'm really trying not to think about the fact that school starts for me in less than two weeks. I will be having this freakout and you will be talking me down at the end of next week.)

Kristin, I'll take whatever sharing you've got! Like, I totally forgot about bathroom passes. Totally necessary and simple, yet totally forgot.
