Laura, I knew someone who lived in Florida who said they couldn't have dog doors (he had a beagle) - there was a danger that an alligator would use it to come in.
That sounds off to me too. No one I know in S. Louisiana was prohibited from dog doors. Even on Avery Island. I wouldn't think a full size gator could fit through a dog door anyway.
K, I am so sorry you feel like hell. I will cuddle up to you. I also feel nauseated, but for a different reason (not preggers!). Exes are jackholes and need to be smacked.
Oh Juliana, I'm so sorry.
t cuddles up to J.
I also feel nauseated, but for a different reason (not preggers!). Exes are jackholes and need to be smacked.
you know you need but say the word and and I will fuck his shit up.
Vortex, I love you so very much. Just needed to be said.
I will fuck his shit up.

Kristin, is this something that will pass in time when you get to a certain blood level or tolerance? (I hope?)

Sparky, I'm not taking this particular med again. It was an experiment, and I think I'm declaring it a bust.
Aw, juliana. I'm relieved all over again that you've got half a continent between you and the jackhole.
And (very carefully){{{Kristin}}} Constant nausea is acres of no fun at all, and you're in just the right place for plenty of been there, done that, hurled it all back up empathy. Trader Joe's ginger cookies, the little bitty silver-dollar-size ones that come in a big plastic tub, are very helpful. Lots of ground ginger and chunks of crystallized ginger; five or six along with a big mug of tea or a bottle of fizzy water may take the nausea down to where it's bearable.
It was an experiment, and I think I'm declaring it a bust.
Crap. I was hoping this would work really well for you.
Oh, juliana and Kristin, I hope you both feel better soon.
My cats are indoor cats because I'm afraid of eagles getting them. They used to be outdoor cats with their previous person. When I got them, they meowed at the window for ages (since his door had windows in it). Alas, they meowed at a window that wouldn't open. Since the door is down a longish hall, I was afraid I wouldn't realize when they wanted to come in, and would wander off. And supervised only isn't an option, because they are
way
too fast.
My cat when I was in high school went outdoors because I just couldn't keep her in. I'd be walking out the door, with her nowhere in sight, and two seconds later she was out between my legs. It was even worse with my mom and grandma. In the winter, she wouldn't stay out more than a few seconds (ew, snow!), but in the summer she spent a lot of time outside. And, in fact, this did shorten her life quite a bit.
