Bwah! I guess a lot of it is up to the individual mechanic doing the inspection.
oh, yeah. I knew a few places that people with borderline cars could go. or should not go.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Laga, that kitten turned out to be male. We can't adopt a male cat because of Byron.
yay truck
silly kitten people - they needed to know your philosophy. My cats have been mostly indoor kitties- I don't want them running all over the neighborhood. and even when they are outside -I'm watching. Our nonclimber can't get out - but that doesn't keep other cats from getting in my year

oh rats.
But I hate it when it's used as a "gotcha" thing (and this is far from the first group I've heard of doing that). Just say "we require all our placements to be indoor cats", ferfucksake. None of this "you're denied because you answered the secret shibboleth question wrong" business, please!
Yes, exactly this. That's what's been bothering me so much. And I knew it when I was filling out the application. I got to that question and just knew I should check "inside" rather than "both," even though they added qualfiers about how often and if it would be now or later or supervised or not. It's the damned sneakiness about it that bothers me so much.
Anyway, there are a ton of cats and kittens at the local Humane Society, but honestly I have a really hard time going to Humane Societies without ending up a snivelling mess. So I think for now the two spoiled cats flopped on my bed are off the hook. No little sister(s) for them just yet.
Thanks for all of the kind words, everyone. I think the rejection hurt just because I hate the implication that ND and I are bad pet-owners.

oh that's total bullshit then. feh.
I'm sure you guys are great pet owners and the universe has a way of providing kittens when needed. In my experience anyway.

Not bad pet owners!!! All they needed was to tell y'all not to let the cats outside.
I prefer mine inside, but one likes to run a continuous route out the door, up the tree and in the window, over and over and over. The other likes to snuggle in the monkey grass. Niether go further than the front porch. This does not make me a bad cat owner.
Nearly drying Sabrina in the clothes dryer, however...

But you know you're not! The rescue person seems completely unreasonable. I'm involved in rescue (Labs) and driving away good applicants seems counterproductive. Do they have a kitty shortage or something?
Do they have a kitty shortage or something?
Yes. Cause of all the gambling.
Nope, just a bias. Ah well, it's not worth dwelling on. Ima pet my kitties and wonder if maybe this was all some Jedi cat mind trick they pulled in order to avoid sharing the love.
