Oh Drew, that rocks. I'm really glad to hear that they're doing the right thing. Was that the only thing wrong, or was there something else, too? I'm also very happy about the finance manager taking care of the loan for you. Yay!!

Aims, yes, for work. He rents a truck a fair amount when doing installations, and Halloween at Universal this year was going to cost several thousand in rental fees. We decided that that several thousand was better spent as a downpayment on a cheap, used pickup truck. You missed our naming discussion last night. 'Twas amusing.

ETA: Oops, xposty.

Our wings are not tired

The fuel guage was the other item and it worked when I started the truck this morning. Go figure. A flakey fuel guage I can live with. No odometer I cannot.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Hopefully, this means a nice tax write off for the business, too, ND, yeah?

The truck is going to have a Diablo Sound logo on it; 'tis all business and so all write-off. I am far too excited about this.

Coffee:

Damn. Our kitten rescue application just got rejected because we were honest enough to admit that we might eventually consider letting them outside (for short periods of time and under supervision once they're older).

This was not the inspiration I was looking for.

From the length of the email she sent she clearly has a pretty massive issue with any cat going outside. Ever.

My poor kitty would hate me forever if she didn't get to go outside. The neighborhood vermin would be grateful.

Yeah. I've found that attitude to be be prevalant with all adoption agencies, including the Humane Society. I never planned on lettng Byron out 13 years ago because of that restriction, but then my mother did anyway. I was angry with her for years about that, because once he went out, no way was he going to be content inside.

And I get the concern. It is dangerous to let cats out. It just hurts to feel like she thinks we wouldn't be good cat parents.

Anyway.

Was this Kitten Rescue? They are pretty militant in general. We adopted Bianca from them and they had to bring her over to inspect the house. She noticed we have a balcony and asked if we let our (then) current cat out on it. We do not and told her so (we live on a very busy street - no outsides for kitties). Her response? "Oh good. I wouldn't sleep nights if you did!" t rolls eyes forever
