I'll be eating a lot of it, since in order for our Passat to pass state inspection, it will need $1350 worth of work.
I can't remember, are you living in MD??? Or is it VA? Anyway, MD state inspection sucks. Everyone I know, including me, who brought a car in from out of state ended up having to get work done. Sucks!

ugh. I got a guy down near Frederickburg who replaced the engine on the old Prizm for 1K less than the other quotes. I think I have his number at home.
Eeep. Grateful we have no state inspection, although we do have some awful vehicles on the road.
PB&J boy is verra cute. Cashmere, I asked my mom and sister if they had the Woodswoman book(s). They didn't, but provided me stories. My brother took an EMT class with her. Most able bodied adults that live here get training in rescue stuff because of the remote location. Most long time locals know her. My sister, being the way she is, insists that anything in the least bit tricky she hires people to do.

I think she knows her limitation--she hired a couple of guys to help her build her cabin--and certainly they did most of the big jobs. I'm only halfway through the book but I'm more interested in the way she becomes a guide. It sounds very rough to live up there during the winter, so I have to give her some credit.
My supervisor is back, but she had to go straight into a meeting. She had a dental appointment, but it's almost lunch so I'm going to run home at lunch and take a 1/2 of seroquel (which I think will be 25 mg) then come back.
And someone came in and took one thing off my plate that I had put off and was dreading so there's a little bit of anxiety lifted.
snuggles all da Bitches
Cash, thanks, we needed that break for cuteness and PB&J.
Askye, it's rotten that you are having a rough time of it today. Sending you lots of love and calm~ma. (ETA: glad that the light you see at the end of the tunnel Isn't a train.)
Thanks, everyone, for your continuing waves of ~ma for Sammie.
Certainly, I give her lots of credit. She does a lot of good work for the area. Winter is crazy rough. My sister and other relatives live here year round. When I was a teen it went down to -52F on New Years Eve one year. And we aren't talking wind chill here, because no wind at that temp. We were outside doing celebrating stuff and didn't know it was so cold until we found out in church the next day.
Hey Andi, did you get to speak with the vet? Sorry for having to deal with front desk idiots.
Sounds like a plan, askye. Feel better.
Thanks Andi. Most of this is just stressing over the fact my supervisor is leaving and I'll be working closer with my big boss, who I just ... it's a personality clash and no one's fault.
