Mal: Well, you were right about this being a bad idea. Zoe: Thanks for sayin', sir.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Am I crazy, or does "General Petraeus" sound like a Star Trek character?

I was thinking more 300, but yeah. "We! Are! Aaaaaaaaaarmy!!!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Whoot!

Also, the Moment of Zen from last night's Daily Show has Larry Craig calling Bill Clinton a "nasty dirty boy," and he's really enjoying it. I swear to god.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

See, for me, it sounds more like Doctor Zaius.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm thinking of buying wine online. I hadn't thought that they shipped to CA for some reason, but the first American site I tried (I kinda fell for the Australians and their own sneaky dollar signs--sorry about the abandoned cart, guys!) says they do.

I thought I'd try Bevmo, it being local and all, but it didn't have the brand of wine (Shinas Estate, read on Bloomberg) that triggered this urge to shop without actually going into a store because they do not much other than make me feel ignorant. And fail to have Dragon Stout.

Any good recommendations for an online vendor?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Some states used to ban interstate wine shipment, but that was ruled unconstitutional within the last couple years.

Ah -- that's totally it! I couldn't figure out if I was thinking of a specific character from somewhere or not.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I like it when the truth turns out to be the more useful discovery, yet my recollection of its opposite is valid too. Not as good as actually being on the ball, like bon, but it's somewhere to start.

Meanwhile I'm going to start tagging interesting wine descriptions to del...whatever...I can never punctuate delicious right.

Wine is one of those things I'll never get good at, but I'd like to stop being stupid at. My gym has wine tasting seminars and trips but I don't think I'd enjoy the company of people who..well, people who belong to gyms and go on their wine vacations. If that makes sense. No, it totally doesn't.

I described a friend to my sister as a wealthy disaffected Beverly Hills wife. Friend reacted badly to this, but I pointed out that just because there were wealthier and more disaffected Beverly Hills wives it made her neither poor nor happy. But it's that whole thing of "just because you can describe us in the same terms, don't prejudge me the way I'm prejudging them!"

The people I know at my gym from outside are really cool. They appear to be in a minority, and also I hate humans.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

joining ita in hating humans. I also kinda hate life right now.

again contemplating investigating moving closer to the parentals. It wouldn't be for 8 months or so, but still. it's hard to think of myself happy there longterm or happy with mac being there longterm, but 3-4 years would be eased by proximity to family and things like yards and carpools. ugh. nothing I need to dwell on now.
