I think I'm just having a failure of imagination here.
This is why I like dresses.

I have added much more color since I moved out to California and want to add even more. I have dark and lighter green and navy blue pants and find many things go better with them than my standard black NYC uniform. My coral-colored shirts look kind of Halloween-y with black pants, but light and purty with my green ones.
Are we counting brown in the "color with color" thing? Because otherwise, I'm sorry, but I'm not wearing a red shirt with orange pants. Or whatever. I guess it would help if I wore more patterns, but whatev.
I'm with Jesse. Also, would you wear a brown blouse with a black suit or something. I mean, you have to have some color, and sometimes, you just have to wear a black suit!
I do like wearing black and brown together.
You know, maybe this is because I think I look better in bright/dark type colors, so the color mixing goes auto-clown in my head.

I do too, but somehow I am picturing a dark brown reindeer colored blouse with the collar outside of the black suit and thinking it would look weird. I do wear a brown top with a black skirt.
ETA- I think That is why I autoclown, too. I am wearing a bright pink shirt today. I can't imagine wearing it with anything other than a neutral color on the bottom.

Yes, everything but black (and to connect conversations, they say black is really only for funerals)--brown, beige, grey.
Their charts are divided by color (grey, purple, light blue, dark blue, red, etc.), and then shades within that color. Each shade has two main colors to wear with it and accent color to the far right. Here is their chart for grey. Of course, not everyone should wear all the colors they list, you first need to figure out if you have warm or cool skin and what shades look best on you, etc.

Again I say: pffft.
I'm wearing brown and red today.
Oh god. We move on Thursday. I have the horrible suspicion that we will be stuck in an open-plan office. How am I supposed to fake being busy when my supervisors can see me nattering at b.org and surfing LJ and cruising Buzznet for pictures of Frank Iero?
They don't make methadone for this! I'm already going into withdrawal!
Open plan in Sub-basement 3 sounds like the definition of office hell, really.
