Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yikes!

Still listening to the radio show, I keep having to tell people here in NYC, "I don't follow sports, but I know I hate the Yankees. I'm from Boston."

OMG, my parents and my sister have been here for 5 hours and I am ready for them to go. My my nervous mother is super nervous, my sister is in high whine mode and my dad is watching sports. I don't think I am going to make it until Monday when they are supposed to leave. It's partly that I am sleep deprived, and that they were waiting on my doorstep when I got home, so I didn't have time to decompress from the workday before they arrived. My if my sister asks me to rub her feet one more time, (A not funny joke she's been doing for 30 years) I will kill her.

Sue, if my experience is any guide, the first few hours are always the worst. Things will look better in the morning.

I am hiding out down in the basement to post this. But I can only stay down so long. I think everyone is going to be early to bed, thank god.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Sad about L'Engle. I was also a huge Wrinkle in Time fan. I need to re-read the series.

We're upgrading the database now so I'm at work for a bit. Then I go home to my sweetie, cocktails, and S2 Prison Break. Woohoo!

Good luck, Sue.

I discovered I can actually listen over dialup! That was fun. I miss Allyson's laughter. Also, Jilli sounds both like I expect her to and not. Like in her enunciation and mannerisms. Not in the sense that...I don't know. She sounds just like another friend of mine, with similar sensibilities and I think that threw me a bit.

Funny, listening to a thing about the peoples on the internets and I'm thinking about how y'alls become real in new ways with each expansion of exposure. How my mind's voice for someone get supplanted and I can't quite remember what I thought they might sound like (or look like) before.

For your amusement, I need to share that I am the official corporate drone contact for the new employee. This I find so hilarious, because I am so not a kool-aid drinker nor pimper. I can barely navigate the corporate bullshit myself, and when I do, it's with a lot of skepticism and hatred. And cursing. Lots of cursing. And now I'm the face of it? Heheheh.

I'll commiserate with her about the bullshit that is the appraisal form, teach her how to ignore them as much as possible and be a generally sucessful corporate slacker?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Wifebeater has been achieved. At Ross no less. Which is a mess, but much less stressful than getting Macy's third floor, in my delicate state.

Man, it's so sweet when people's relationship statuses change on Facebook and that newsfeed line with the heart comes up, especially for romances that are new.

Of course, there's the flipside of the broken heart icon when it's all over, which is saddening.

Dog is my co-pilot.

paperdol has access to physicists.

According to my father-in-law, physicists know everything. Of course, he is a physicist.

Allyson and Jilli rock.

That is all.

They do! And so does Victor. It is wild to hear your/their voices. I'm trying to figure out what I do when I read people's posts if I haven't met them before. I guess you all just have my internal voice until I hear otherwise. Sorry?

Great interview/talk.

In conclusion: Internets=super cool.
