Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

And aren't a supertaster. I like lemons. Grapefruit isn't about sour--they're bitter too.

Huh -- I find lemons really bitter, but I like grapefruit. Only red grapefruit, though -- the yellow kind is bitter.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm drinking extra sour lemonade right now, AIFG. Truly.

I need something to overbalance the sweet of the CI test cake.

Did I mention how fabulous a crumb it had? Like, amazing. Some of the best textured cake I've ever made. And I like to make the cakes.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Grapefruit isn't about sour--they're bitter too.

Yes, yes they are. Not enough sugar in the world to combat that bitterness.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My untimely death by apple has been averted by hanging my head upside down and coughing. Living alone is exciting.

I only like grapefruit if I smother that sucker in sugar. So, basically, I can't stand to eat them. ita, do they make your jaws hurt too?

do they make your jaws hurt too?

I pucker so hard my jaw muscles are trying to wrench my jaws out of socket.

It's just one of those foods that's not food to my tongue.

And you'll notice--the lemon babies tend to go back for more. That grapefruit kid? Fade to black.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

The fact that there's a whole feed-baby-a-lemon-on-camera subculture is astounding. If hilarious

Seriously! I love it.

and you'll notice--the lemon babies tend to go back for more.

They are so persistent. It's fantastic.

Our wings are not tired.

Mmmmmm grapefruit. Love them. No sugar needed.

I love both lemons and grapefruits. If the grapefruit is too bitter I use a pinch of salt on it but never sugar. I have been known to peel them and eat grapefruits like an orange.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Salt helps kill the bitter taste, but I suspect for me that I could pour shakersfull on a grapefruit and still not be able to eat it.
