I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

yeesh, Kat! i hope you're okay. stairs are dangerous things. i managed to sprain both ankles running downstairs at college.

I am dog tired tonight. i spent the majority of the day moving furniture. if i don't get a house soon, my bedroom is going to explode. i have no free space anywhere. it's a bit ridonkulous.

now? i think i'm going to sleep in my new bed.

Oh, Kat. I hope your hurts from the fall heal up quickly. How scary and just... too much.

Oh, Kat, scary! I'm so sorry.

I'm very glad Allyson's reading went well--but also unsurprised.

I am not, sadly, the only person interested in this dog. It's first-come, first-serve, so if the other person fell in love with her, I'm out of luck. Pfooey.

Ah, well. I'm okay otherwise.

I took my niece and her pal to the movies, while I went to B&N, and ended up buying Friday Night Lights (the original book) and Farthing by Jo Walton. And then we had a great meal. So, not a bad day, over all.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Suela, I got that book, so you'll have to tell the the correlation between it and the show (which I have not watched)

I saw the movie, Debetesse, and what I found interesting about the comparison between the movie and the show was that the movie was entirely about football, and the show is about the entire town. Also, in the show, women actually get lines.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

!! Kat! Glad the little mister is okay. Hope you heal up well. I'm sorry it's been so much for you.

Glad paperdol's reading went off well! Knew it would.

Poor Franny! Broken fingers are no fun!

In tonight's adventures, we got rained out of our gig with the band tonight. It stormed! Lightning struck two of the trees not ten feet from the stage. Anyway, it's all covered up with a tarp for tonight, but I am not optimistic about tomorrow, which also has forecast t-storms. And even if it doesn't rain, we'll have to see how the gear has held up.

eta: on the plus side, this meant that the SO could rest up some and try to recover from his cold. Even I'm tired from the full day's teaching plus evening setup & standing around in the rain. I can't imagine how he feels. I'm going to bed early tonight. Like, now.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Gah! I just want to swaddle all the LAistas and their sprogs in bubble wrap.

It was a bit of an error prone day for some of us. Luckily Allyson was poised and funny (and wearing a spiffy outfit BTW) and she didn't fall or injure herself even once.

Frances is doing fine. Her finger is big and purple and hurts, but she has a splint, and I have access to children's Tylenol. Part of me thinks it's crazy to let a kid with a finger splint jump in a bouncy house, but the rest of me says the worry wart is overruled.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Gah! Kat, I had no idea. I hope everything heals swiftly and that you're able to feel better in general.

Burrell, as I said at the reading, I'm so sorry about poor Franny's finger. I hope that it, too, heals swiftly.

Given how clumsy I am, it's amazing I got off as lightly as I did. I just stumbled into a palm tree (one of the ones with the sharp, curly bark) and scraped the heck out of my arm. I'm feeling pretty lucky.

Luckily Allyson was poised and funny (and wearing a spiffy outfit BTW)
Very much this.
