I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Holy crap, that sounds fab.

Sounds yum and sounds like plenty. Very exciting.

(Also, just so I'm not taking undue credit, it's a different Jen than me on the flowers - if I'm guessing right, she goes by a different board name - which you probably realize, but, you know, just in case... though I totally support the concept!)

Wish I could be there!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That sounds wonderful, paperdol. If there are kids coming, I would maybe grab some hotdogs, but if not, you have everything beautifully covered.

Kicks holiday weekend again

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I have 25 people coming. I have thirty beers, a gallon of cosmopolitans, a gallon of sour apple martinis, I'm making a big bowl of sangria, I got a big case of bottled water, will get a case each of diet and regular soda.

We've got two pounds of shrimp in ginger, soy, and pineapple, chips, salsa, guac, dips, caprese salad, four pounds of chicken marinading for skewers, tons of cut veggies for both grilling and dipping, and I think hummus and pita.

This sounds like a ton of fun. Nice!

Dog is my co-pilot.

Fred Pete,

Health ~ma to Teddy. I'm curious how the acupuncture is helping with Teddy. People ask me all the time and I know how it helps with my dogs, but I have no expiereince with the kitties.

There's a special about Krav on the History Channel - I wish I had ita for running commentary.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

JenP, ooh! Is it the Human Weapon series? 'Cause if it is, I'm tivoing it right now. Err. Then. I just got home. I should go check.

Java, I think some of the foams outgas, but there are some newer, environmentally friendlier ones now. I'm thinking icynene? Something like that.

JenP, ooh! Is it the Human Weapon series?

Yes, that's what it was. I hadn't seen it before, but, naturally, this one caught my attention. It was pretty cool. They ended up in a sooper seekrit anti-terrorism training center in Israel. It was hard to tell how much time they spent trying/learning techniques.
