That's disturbing. You're emotionally scarred and will end up badly.

I'd put a call into the SPCA and a vet if the SPCA has a..um, negative response, either yours (if you've found one yet) or one the SPCA offers/recommends if they aren't that negative. Newkitty can handle a day or a few in the laundryroom. Now, I'm a sucker and this'd mean I have another cat. However, both the SPCA and a vet could find it a less-suckerish home if you can't.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think that means you're married in Bahrain.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

No doubt. I guess it'll be spending a couple days in the laundry room, since my father has to be at the hospital two hours away by 10 tomorrow and the SPCA seems to be open noon till 4. Hmm. What to use for a litterbox?

Should've already been in bed, of course. I'm going now.

omg, Shrift, your hair is short!

But still a hottie. Have fun storming DragonCon!

ita, I find that wearing orthotics and stretching my achilles every day as soon as I get out of bed definitely helps my plantar fasciitis. I should do more of that rolling thing: I used to have a golf ball that was good for that.

But I've stopped buying any shoes without good arch support, which is why even my flip-flops cost over $50 (Chacos).

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Imagining Rickman as stern daddy seems to have killed the thread.

And the phrase "Rickman as stern daddy" seems to have livened it right up again.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I have a question. I see references to Carlos Menica in the media as if there is some buzz going on and they advertise The Carlos Mencia Show incessantly on Comedy Central, but I do not know one person who watches it, including my all neicephews. What is his demographic?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

When I was teaching middle school kids last summer, the one Hispanic kid in the class was given the nickname Carlos by the other kids because his accent sounded like Carlos Mencia's. (There was another kid nicknamed Jeff, for reasons I never did figure out.) I'm not sure if they actually watched his show or just heard him on all the commercials during other Comedy Central stuff they watched, though.
