My experience has shown that individuals engaging in lewd conduct use their bags to block the view from the front of their stall
wow. i do this, but i've never had sex in an airport bathroom. they don't exactly give you a whole lot of room to roll your carry-on in with you. what else are you supposed to do with it?
At 1215 hours, Craig tapped his right foot. I recognized this as a signal used by persons wishing to enegage in lewd conduct.
seriously? what if he was listening to an ipod or mp3 player and was tapping his foot with the music?
this statement is just stupid to me.
By itself it might be stupid, but the guy entered a guilty plea. And now he's saying, "Oh, no, I was just trying to get the whole thing finished quickly."
I do not think I would plead guilty to solicitation and hope it just never became public knowledge. Especially if I were a Senator.
Wow, just read the police report. Definitely a sketchy case. Tapping a foot and reaching a hand under the door is lewd conduct?
I'm willing to concede that there was probably more to it in person than it sounds like written down like that. But written down it sounds kind of ridiculous.

SERIOUSLY.
The fact that the foot tapping was followed by foot frottage, as well as it all going according to known coded behavior seems damning. Plus pleading guilty. Plus a gay activist outing Craig last year for bathroom sex.
I'm now of the opinion that the entire Republican party is composed of closeted homosexuals.

Those reports are supposed to be as detailed and factual as possible. Either the officer did a terrible job of recording the event, or he dropped his badge too early.
Now I get why you want to keep public restroom clear of lewd behavior, but the whole approach, especially in Craig's case, just smells homophobic. I agree with Matt.

Yeah, it doesn't seem that vague to me either.

I agree.
On the other hand, pleading guilty to something you don't want people to think you did is so unbelievably stupid that I'm finding it hard to come up with a lot of sympathy here.

Seriously.
My lunch made everyone do the "what smells so good?" commentary as they walked past my cube.
I don't have sympathy here for Craig either because he's still a lying, hypocrital, politician and there's little doubt as to what his intentions were. I just don't think he had done anything illegal, and I hate seeing the legal system brazenly misused in such a discriminatory fashion.
