As much as I enjoy watching politicians crash and burn in sex scandals, I'm pretty peeved that Minnesota is still running sting operations for men propositioning other men. It may be happening in a skeevy way, but unless there's money involved it shouldn't be any more a jailable offense than the construction workers and carfulls of horny teenagers that proposition women in public all the time.

Screwing in bathrooms would be indecent exposure and public lewdness. Asking someone if they want to screw shouldn't be an indictable offense, whether it happens in a bathroom or a singles bar. If the cop had caught Craig in a state of undress or actually performing a sexual act with someone in a public place, I'd have no problem with him being arrested.

So if he asks the cop to have sex with him in the bathroom the cop should just say "no" and there is no crime. I'm torn. He WAS attempting to screw in the bathroom which is decidedly lewd -- do the police commonly save people from committing their particular crimes?

but was he definitively asking to have sex at right that moment? or was it possible he was propositioning the guy to take him back to his place? (note: i haven't heard this particular story. the guy may have expressly stated "do you want to have sex with me in this bathroom right now?")

In other sorts of stings, don't people have to actually possess drugs or accept money or do something tangible that's illegal rather than voice an intent?
Sadly, escaping Fregie seems to be impossible if you listen to the radio in this part of the country. I mean, I liked that "Big Girls Don't Cry" song the first 50 times I heard it, but then on the second day it got old.
