See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

My favorite on people finding Jesus was always "Well, I guess he didn't see you coming."

This was certainly my first thought on hearing that Vick had found Him. I'm not sure how keen He is on being found by a guy who has admitted to strangling dogs with his bare hands but so far has only managed to actually apologize for "bad decisions."

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

JZ, in the same "apology" speech where he pulled out the Jesus card, he said that what he had done was "immature" and a sign that he needed to "grow up."

Trust my rage

I never thought I would find dog torture and killing under the definition of "immature". I keep hoping that his fellow prisoners will not be impressed by his fame but will mad at his treatment of animals.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I can't think about Michael Vick. I want to strangle him with my bare hands. Whether or not you are the kind of person who treats animals like family, I don't think anyone could believe that a "good guy" would do that to a living being. It seems not so far removed from children who become serial killers killing animals.

I think I might have a tapeworm! Seriously, yesterday I was in a situation where I was hungry and couldn't eat from about 9 am - 4 pm, and I was so hungry I almost killed people. When I got home, I ate a sandwhich, and a couple of hours later I had a huge dinner (small steak, cauliflower, 2 ears of corn, potatoes, and tomato salad). This morning I woke up ravenous again, and I had yogurt with fresh peaches cut up in in and a bagel with chive cream cheese. 1 hour ago for lunch I had a the same thing I had for dinner last night minus the tomato salad and I am still hungry. Like, my stomach is growling and I have a horrible headache hungry.

I can't claim that one. Before he turned into a wing-nut, Dennis Miller threw that line out about Charles Coulson (of the Nixon adminstration) finding God in prison.

Sometimes it really, really feels like we are all living on completely different planets. He raised and trained dogs to be bloodthirsty killing machines, then, when some of them proved insufficiently bloodthirsty, STRANGLED THEM. With his BARE HANDS. That's not immaturity; that's bordering on sociopathy. And yet he's saying it and believing it, and apparently there's still a handful of folks supporting him and believing in him and rooting for his return to football. We are accidentally inhabiting the same physical dimension, but so not residing on the same planet.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Not likely, unfortunately.

I agree that Vick is a low-life piece of shit for murdering dogs and the whole cruel, vicious mess. But my hope is that the is remorse is genuine--that he's actually sorry for what he's done. NOT just sorry for getting caught.

I also hope he sings like a bird on others involved in the business of dogfighting and that they get more major busts out of this case.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Ooooh!!! :: dances around computer :: I found out that not only is the Clark University Enterprise Solutions Developer certificate course held on a rolling enrollment basis, meaning that you can start, like every two months instead of September & January dates, but the courses are held about two miles from here!

This means that I'm not up against and hard and fast deadline to get the Section 30 training extension on my Unemployment benefits, so I can stop fretting that they still haven't gotten back to me after a week. That would mean that not only would my coursework qualify for Unemployment, it would be specially extended for me to finish the certificate, up to about a year.

Yeah, it would mean belt-tightening for a year, but I'd come away much more employable and competitive....

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

did you all hear that the rapper DMX's place got raided over the weekend and they found evidence of dog fighting there too? i'm wondering if he's someone Vick was involved with and if we'll see more of these people being brought into the spotlight.
