Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I need to learn to scuba dive (we can just call it scuba, right? SCUBA is overdoing it?)

I had these plans...

What are people doing this weekend?

The annual gothy-goth yard sale at my house. Prepping for (iiieee! Must price things!), and then holding the event. Wish me profits!

Now tagless for your comfort.

I use small scuba. How hard is certification? Not that I'd ever do it--I'm sort of afraid of the ocean but I may try snorkling.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

You know, the thought of being in the water with things like crustaceans and squids and bitey fish pretty much dissuades me from learning to scuba-dive. In fact, I've got a squick about swimming in water where I can't see my feet....

I want to be in the ocean with things--it's why I intend to learn. However, there's no reason to be in water where I can't see my feet. That's why I want to dive in the Caribbean.

I don't think it's that hard, Cash. But all I've done is prelim research.

Okay, this links to a page with a link to a not-work-safe boys-only body mod. Which is kinda nifty.

Well, he can kinda style his genitalia.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

It looks like there's a swatch for black on the coffee one, I'd imagine the tea does too.
