Augh. Credit card fraud sucks, as does this crappy hold music.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Indeed.

Dog is my co-pilot.

I loved that one. Everyone needs minions. Back when I ran an online vegetarian forum, our member profiles section was called "Minions of Seitan."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

On notes not so despairing of the species in general: Cool.

This website, now in its ninth incarnation since being launched in 06.1998, is an extension of a personal art collection of various artists interpreting their favourite literary figure/author/character that has been accumulated since 03.1998

Suprnova's back. I hadn't realised it had been gone that long.

Blah. No charges went through but I had to close the account, and now I'll have to learn a new CC number. And there's a chance I won't have a credit card when I go to Atlanta next week. Whee.

I mean, I have a debit card and a checking account, but I'd rather not use that at a hotel unless I have to.

Can they rush your new card to you?

They keep insisting they can't guarantee a new card in less than 7 business days. Which is total crap, and if it doesn't get here in time, they'll be losing a customer of 11 years.

That is bullshit. I know that Amex rushes cards overnight to their customers, so it's definitely possible.
