Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

as he explains "I will make the blue stuff and go fast and it will be cool."

I knew that kid was no fool.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Mac does love his Mummy. BTW, what does he call you?

Blackberry ate post, and brain not able to retrieve.

My sister asked for a good idea for a bat mitzvah gift. I told her money, but now she asks how much.

Bearing in mind I don't know what country this is in, nor how close she is to the family. Is it sort of a "thought that counts" thing?

Doctor won't let me leave the ER until I don't weave. If I don't get home and sleep, I'm at risk of undoing his lovely needlework.

Coding and Sleeping

mac has announced that when he gets older he will buy the Batmobile and drive me places

Awesome. Can we all have rides too?

I'm hoping the needlework is stuff done that's making you in less pain, not stitchery.

Mac's a smart one. And a dearie.

OK, if you've got a jaw joint that is just screaming (and making a sinus really angry) from attempting to close it while it was propped wide open, heat or cold?

The other side took twice as long, but holy crap my jaw did not like it this time. Halfway through I had to ask her to give me a moment to flex it and rub out a cramp. Uhg.

Also, they baked cookies in the office kitchen while I was in the chair. The asst thought it was a cruel thing to do to a bunch of dental patients, but here's the thing: I'd much prefer to smell baking cookies while undergoing oral torture than smell my teeth getting ground up. Which really stinks, btw.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Sheryl - I thought that they weren't supposed to sell the advanced copies - did you pay for it?

No, they didn't charge me for it. I don't know why they did it, as I was perfectly willing to wait until the 28th, and pay for the book. This way, they're not getting that money from me.(I buy to read, not to collect)

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I told her money, but now she asks how much.

Multiples of 18. How many multiples depends on the local currency, I suppose.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

mac calls me mom.

I am sure he will be happy to give anyone rides, as long as he can drive really fast.

he is now asleep which means it is time for me to do a report for work, only I don't wanna, I wanna go to bed.

sarameg - Aug 21, 2007 4:36:09 pm PDT #6019 of 10001

as long as he can drive really fast.

Visit my brother sometime. He'll indulge that. I think I mentioned going down a 5 or 6 storey parking spiral in excess of 30 mph? I couldn't see the spedometer. I was plastered to the door, trying to keep the dizziness from making me hurl as D squealed in delight in the back.

My brother is an excellent driver, knows the limits of his car and skills and blah blah blah. But he definitely gives the passengers a rush. I feel safer in the car with him, dodging across 5 lanes at 90 (ah, Birmingham roads) than I do with my dad at 35 on the empty streets.
