Oh, yeah. There was this time I was pinned down by this guy that played left tackle for varsity... Well, at least he used to before he was a vampire... Anyway, he had this really, really thick neck, and all I had was a little, little Exact-O knife ... You're not loving this story.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Today I've eaten a snickers bar and a diet Arizona tea. I eat better when I'm at work and there's a cafeteria.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm getting chicken katsu don from the Japanese lunch counter. (That's chicken cutlets with egg over rice).

hip deep in pie

I have to go buy lunch, but I am getting bored with most of my food options around here. I think I want really good Indian food, and the Indian food around here is just okay.

At home, I bought 5lb of wild blueberries last weekend, so I've been eating blueberries like they've been going out of style. Tonight, I am going to tackle pie.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Is it still pouring rain? If so, I'm going to bet I'm going to the restaurant downstairs, where I will get a chicken sandwich with cheese and bacon on it, which will be delicious.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My lunch would be improved by bacon, it's true.

You've got pork, so you're halfway there!

Now tagless for your comfort.

We've eaten early--because we lost power AGAIN for awhile there. Nothing more to do with the kids than to feed them.

But the rain's stopped so if the kids are up for it, we'll go to the gym before nap time.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Isn't it Terre Haute? (Not Terra Haute)

Huh. It IS "Terre". Now I have to stop laughing at my cousins!

(Well, it still sounds a little funny. They sort of swallow it. At first I had no idea what they were even saying.)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I wonder if they're related to the actual Illinoisans who insist on pronouncing the "s" at and end of the state's name and have you heard how Goethe, Paulina and Devon are pronounced in Chicago?

I've mostly heard Goethe pronounced correctly around here.

Of course, Illinois also has treats like Cairo (KAY-ro) and DeZ Plainz to trip up the unwary. Or edumacated.
