Zoe: What's that, sir? Mal: Freedom, is what. Zoe: No, I meant what's that? Mal: Oh. Yeah. Just step around it. I think something must've been living in here.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

They want the delicious contradictory pleasures of being all on their own and safely looked after and yearned for. For those kids, it's an unutterably perfect book.

Oh, I'm sure that's true.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I saw Runaway Bunny in the bookstore and mentioned it to a friend of mine who had a nephew ... three or so at the time. She checked it out, liked it, and bought it for him. Someone read it to him and he spent the weekend going from grownup to grownup asking to have it read to him again. So ... it's good for the little ones. Once they hit 16 or so, NSM.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

These are the very cute flats I'm wearing today: [link]

My old phone took way better pictures than this one does, I have to say. Annoying.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Those are very cute shoes, brenda.

I've always known there was a war in North Hollywood, but I don't want it to end. I'm trying to become a war profiteer.

Oh, only just noticed I posted those in Natter rather than Bitches. It wasn't quite so out of nowhere as it might have seemed. Still, cute shoes liven up any thread.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

My commute is currently about 20 minutes each way.(driving) I know that's going to change soon, as school starts up in a week or so. Between the traffic going in to and out of the high school I drive by every day, and the folks taking their kids to provate school via 270, I'll be lucky if the commute's 30 minutes each way. Unfortunately, driving's cheaper than taking the Metro.(stupid parking fees)

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Okay, I knew c'est la vie. But, is today the day to confess I can spell neither horse's ovaries nor toot sweet?

I want those hors-d'oeuvre tout de suite!

I'm finally back from Minnesota. The North Shore is beautiful and luckily the weather cooperated for my brother's wedding (but sadly, not for my time in Minneapolis).

In other news, after my fourth dentist visit in about a week, I can now announce that temporary crowns are of the suck.
