Mr. Smay, yesterday, I saw an Oxford American in my local magazine store with your name on the cover. I read the article, it was really well done.

My right hand ring finger is all bent up from having broken it (in a fight! well, in a self defense class) years ago.
Also, I don't have a ruler or measuring tape here.
So, the document I stayed up so late editing? Evidently the people I sent it back to are a little taken aback by how many edits and comments there are in it. Ha!
My ring finger is also longer than my index finger, but my second toe is almost as long as my big toe, if that means anything.
My shoes are all organized in reasonable fashion, but I spent 30 minutes on Friday morning organizing all my jewelry, which was a real mess--necklaces in a tangled bundle under the hooks they were supposed to be on in one box, another jewelry box with lots of great compartments practically empty, lots of boxes of gift jewelry from my dad that I had to move to the empty jewelry box and toss out the store boxes. Now, everything is hanging properly or placed in their compartments or tray, and I found a few pieces I thought I'd lost years ago (my grandma's ring, my baby necklace with seed pearls that were restrung back in high school). Organizing is always a good thing!
My second toe is freaky long, too.
My index finger's bent from being broken as well.
It's a sign of lycanthropy.
My shoes are all over the house.
The reason my shoes mostly stay in their shoe rack is primarily because I am clumsy and trip over them otherwise. Also, trained by puppies.
I have a shoe rack hanging over my closet door for non-boot-non-heeled shoes I don't wear very often, and a smaller one just outside the front door for shoes I wear almost every day. (Boots are on the closet floor, heels are on a little shoe shelf. In our old place, heels were also on the closet floor but the previous owner of this place did a really nice job custom-shelving the closet, and there is a nifty little slanted shelf just for shoes.)
I don't have anything to measure my fingers with.
Also, trained by puppies. My parents' dog, one of the Goldens, steals shoes. Just takes them and wanders around with it. The thief. I have to remind myself to shut my door when I am there. And not to take my shoes off anywhere else. Because Baron steals shoes.
I have a couple racks. And then I have the floor of the lovely huge walk-in closet and that works very nicely too!
My friend's tiny dachsund steals shoes. It is HILARIOUS. She will take any shoe, including boots way bigger than she is and move them around the house. My friend has to keep all her shoes on a high shelf in a closet with a closed door.
My closet is pretty much a nightmare. Obviously I have way redundant shoes, and I'm the only one to blame for that. I have a small two-level rack on one side of the closet, but can't put one on the other because it has two rows to hang stuff on, and shoes on racks would be right up in the lower row.
I'm pretty sure that I have too many shoes to fit in the current layout but it's so damned rare for me to try and put them all away at once that I've not tested the hypothesis.
It's a big walk-in closet. I just have too much shit.
