I'm dressed and coffee-filled and have the workshop schedule all printed out. I'm going to have to cheat and have a friend sign me off on a class I didn't take so I can get out of there in time to give Hec a decent chunk of writing time, but by gum I am GOING TO WORKSHOPS.
Long, long, long drive down to Gilroy awaits.
I was gonna say, you're sure up early! Now I know why -- enjoy!
I found out this week that I may well qualify for a special Unemployment extension if I'm enrolled in certain year-long programming training classes, which would be financially tight, but actually very useful to do. So tomorrow I'm going to go talk to a state unemployment counselor and find out if I do qualify, because, DAMN that would be great.
I think I might go buy a new TV today, and I realized part of what's so weird to me about that -- I've never bought a TV! When I graduated from college, I got an ancient one from my family, and then the current one is my Jeopardy consolation prize! I guess getting 12 years out of a free TV isn't so bad.
Jesse, I still have my old 27" TV to get rid of.
Hmmm, I can only recall buying two TVs, the last but one is still upstairs, mostly unused in my study. There was a B&W one that I had in college -- I wonder if I bought it in high school or not, when I got my first stereo, or a parental present? (I'm only on my second stereo system....)
Anyway, Jesse, you have my full permission to qualify for buying a (new) TV at this point. It's not, you know, ostentatious.

Yeah, I think the maneuvering is too much, sadly. The PCRichards four blocks away from my house will apparently deliver for free.
I hope you have a better experience with PC Richard than Jessica had.
ION, I am driving myself insane trying to straighten up the mess of wires behind my TV and computer.
Bad service? I figure the workers will be shady, which I can deal with, and I think I might buy a little rolly thing to walk it home (I'm assuming I'll be able to carry it upstairs alone?), so I don't have to deal with delivery.
Since a TV doesn't require any "installation," (and there's no old TV to haul away) I think you'll be fine.
OK, as soon as I finish watching the Bret Michaels dating show, I'm buying a TV!!
