Can't even shout, Can't even cry. The Gentlemen are coming by. Looking in windows, knocking on doors. They need to take seven, and they might take yours. Can't call to mom, can't say a word. You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Are they going to take away my MLIS?

Probably.

And do you move all of the books to the front of the shelf and not pushed into the back?

At home, no, but at work, yes.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I keep the books pushed to the back, so more stuff fits on the shelves. Currently, that's more books. But the fiction on the shelves is alphabetized! I only have a couple of shelves of nonfiction, and they are grouped in a combination of size and subject matter and random whim.

That's why I don't do it at home-- I have to double shelve some of my fiction books.

I decided it was cocktail hour, so I am out on the balcony with a gimlet that I wish was vodka instead of gin (I'm out of vodka) and my laptop.

Life is hard.

I was gonna have TJs Pad Thai noodles and sauce with veggies for dinner, but there was MOLD on teh noodles. INSIDE the plastic. I've got an email off to TJs (they have no 800# on the packaging to call). YUCK!

It wasn't the same over spaghetti.

Once upon a time, I had a system. Largely around topic/interest, with a heavy hand on geography (cause I have a lot of nonfiction and essays on politics and war.) All the science bios need to go together!

But then it became just a matter of finding A shelf space, and that sort of fell by the wayside. Next time I have to reshelve my books, I'll go back to the topic system.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I keep thinking that I'll organize the books sometime, but I probably won't. They're crammed on shelves in no order whatsoever; their location is only dictated by where they'll fit on the shelves. I like the happy chaos of my bookshelves.

makes plans for what to do the next time I visit Baltimore.

it's stupid, but my lack of getting the dinner I wanted has made me so grumpy. I think I need to get Chinese and Thai take out tomorrow so I have some in the house. I have been having such cravings lately and mac is a no go on eating asian food out.

I often get grumpy when food goes wrong. Combine bad-temper low blood sugar and then eating what I don't really want? Yeah, a winner.

I think the reordering will wait until I move somewhere. Because I need more shelves and am probably not going to be able to fit more here.
