Ah, yes, of course. The gypsies, they gave you your soul. The gypsies are filthy people. Ptui! We shall speak of them no more.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Whew. Just made two Cook's Illustrated fruit salads. Which, being CI, never simple. One's in a cardamom champagne reduction, and the other's in a red wine balsamic vinegar reduction.

They're very pretty.

Also...warm. And my ride arrives in ten minutes. Maybe I can refrigerate them at our destination.

My headache is not giving up and dying. Feh.

Someone explain to me how two pairs of pants from the same brand and style can fit me in different sizes.

Were they purchased from Old Navy cause they are notorious for that shit? i've had the exact same style, color and brand fit differently for the reasons, I think, Sean stated.

Mmmmm... fruit salad. My friend Rachel made a Watermelon salad. It looks good except it has the forbidden cilantro on it. And it's made of watermelon which I think is ick.

Also meant to say,

Jesse, I totally would love for you to live here, but not just for the game show possibililties (though I know you aren't leaving NY). But if you left New York, you'd never have a shot at Cash Cab.

I have a random question for those of you with cats. When you scratch your cats on their lower backs, do they start licking their chest? Both of my current cats do every time, as if it's an instinctive response but I can't remember any of my previous cats doing so.

My mom's second childcat and our office mascot rabbit both do this.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But if you left New York, you'd never have a shot at Cash Cab.

Heh. True.

I just noticed my cat licking his arm while being scratched by his tail, but I don't think that's the exclusive spot he licks when being scratched like that.

I knew a cat who went into a weird twitch trance state, while licking his lips, when you hit a certain spot. It looked like he was having some sort of seizure, so it was really weird.

Mister Kitty's butt just goes up if you touch any part of his back. But I think that's him being a slut, not some trigger thing.

Have new camera. It's got more stuff (and 3x the pixels), but I still wish my old one hadn't lost its tiny mind. I really prefer the screen on the old one. Better colors and detail, even though it was smaller. Change. Ahrg.

I need to figure out dinner. Fallen back into food as a chore, unfortunately.

Art Crawl!!!

One of my cats licks the air when you hit the right spot.

Why was it all gray and raining all day until NOW?

I managed to dodge intermittent showers to take the bus to the grocery store and back.

I feel so accomplished.

This means that tomorrow when it's thundershowering I can lounge on my couch and watch dvds.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

If food were a chore, I might lose some weight.

Cats = funny.

Dog is my co-pilot.

That's what I thought too. It would have fit better in the Zs though, space wise.

My DH, who is organizer of the records and CDs, leaves a little space at the end of quite a few shelves in order to make it easier to shift everything to insert new acquisitions.
