hip deep in pie

This is where the internet fails us. I always want to know what is filming in town, and it seems like that information should be aggregated somewhere.

Halifax has a page that says whats filming and the locations being used. Perfect stalker material.

However, it's not always updated. For instance it doesn't list the TV movie that's brought Michelle Trachenberg to town. (Reports had her lined up at midnight to buy the new Harry Potter book. Also mentioned her shiny, shiny hair.) If I saw her, I don't know if I'd overcome the urge to yell, "Get out! Get out! Get out!"

Art Crawl!!!

This blog seems to have stuff about movies in Chicago -- well, lots of Batman stuff.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I like Hollywoodnorth except they don't have any regional news about filming in Atlantic Canada. I think Sue and I should offer to update that section. Whad'ya think Sue?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Hmm. It could be Wanted: [link]

I am ridiculously entertained by the discovery that Angelina Jolie nabbed the role that was so very obviously written and drawn with Halle Berry in mind.

Though the thought of James McAvoy spouting the dialogue of a character based on Eminem might drive me to tears.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm having bonbon chicken for lunch!

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Oh, how is it? I still haven't been there but mean to. And not because of the name, but because of the chicken!

It's good! Very greasy, though.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Random questions for the hivemind (legal peeps and librarians, heads up!):

  • Can you get information on financial planning at a law library? For example, if you're looking to get information on protecting assets in the case where one spouse has a terminal illness.
  • Can you get specific information about a branch of a public library online (in my case, branches of the LAPL)? Looking for approx. size of collections, nature of clientele, info on any specialized collections, etc.
