I get really emotional over communities. I love it when there is an event (parade, neighborhood festival, whatever) and complete strangers start talking to each other and ME and we're all friendly and helpful and I swear, I have to fight tearing up.
Mom and I were down at Millenium Park in Chicago on Tuesday afternoon, and we had a ball watching the kids playing in the fountain. (In that link, you see the kids lined up along the side of the LCD tower, because they know that after the spouting water comes the downpour of water from the top of the 50' tower.) Mom said afterwards how nice it was to see kids of all colors and nationalities playing together.
Oh, and some Universal Studios film is shooting in the North Loop. I'm not sure what movie it is, but they had a rainmaker and a van all decked out with cameras, platforms, and a tow rig.

Wasn't this some movie about a bat-guy?
I think that they've started filming The Time Traveler's Wife here, as well.
It could be Batman. Roommate has a gig as an extra coming up next weekend.
Hmm. It could be Wanted: [link]
They must be filming three movies in Chicago -- apparently, Morgan Freeman is in the Batman movie and another one that isn't the Time Traveler's Wife.
Kristin and Trudy, you are both fired.
And, for the record, we caught the bucket of water on fire too. Apparently Plei, Jilli and I are the Flammable Trinity.
So... by "fired" you mean something involving
actual fire
?
How do you set water on fire?
That
is
talent.
