If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Well, shit. Here I've been running with scissors for free all these years.

Well sure, but you can still be on the scissor running Olympic team.

And we'll all donate red blood cells so you can triumph!

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Kristin, you could watch ND - he's consistently entertaining.

Actually? Most of the time the view I have of him is what I'm looking at right now: his legs below a sea of wires and computer monitors.

Though he is entertaining many other times.

Punishingly Intricate

I have my Vampire People EW today!!!

It's not a review but a sidebar story about the book (in the Books section) under the heading Ultimate Fandom. And it mentions here. As in "In March 2004, Beatrice witnessed 'the greatest random act of PayPal,' when Buffistas.org regulars raised $3,000 to bring an Israeli fan to the U.S. for a five-city tour."

hee!

Glad I changed my name long, long ago.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

no review?

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

So, I haven't changed my name here, but I have changed my life. Oops.

paperdol=the bestest babysitter ever.

There's almost no upside to Grace getting a trache (imagine toddler!Noah and toddler!Grace and anything that he might try to shove into her trache.... shudder) except now the tape is off and we can see her whole face.

The hospital won't allow me to get a DNR for her. Legal or not?

I was going to say something earlier about how we had to wake Ellie up when she was very small to feed her, but then I remembered that Noah is a big boy now!

He is. But in terms of adjusted age, he's only 3 weeks.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Spot the phishing expeditions.

What does the sidebar say? Wanna know!

The hospital won't allow me to get a DNR for her. Legal or not?

Hmm. I can see there might be ethical grey area, and everything I know about medical law I learnt from ER and the internet, but it seems you ought to be able to do something of the kind.

That's a quandry. I'm guessing it varies state to state. Other than that, I have no clue.

Love Noah's chunky knees.

Brain is bumblebee in a flower garden. Please send smoke or whatever makes bees stop. Can't keep train of thought...oh, that! handwaves

Devi is posted watch fridge. For 2 hours now. Makes me jumpy.

Hey, Noah's bigger than her.

See? Maddening bee.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

The hospital won't allow me to get a DNR for her. Legal or not?

FWIW, the PICU chief here (I was very vague about specifics) called bullshit on this. He said that if the mom judges this to be the best course, her judgment has to be given tremendous weight. Either the hospital should agree, or the neonatology attending should schedule a meeting with her and at least one MD or nurse from every service that's consulting on the baby, to sit down and all talk together about this decision and why they do or don't think it's the right decision at this time. But simply refusing or telling mom she "can't do that" is in his opinion possibly legal but definitely bullshit.

I'm so sorry you and your beloveds are going through this awful wringer.
