Hey Lee! It was funny to come upon this discussion, only to have the perfect illustration.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

It is perfect.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

But they're using IBM Selectric II typewriters.

Yeah, Scola mentioned that in the Cable Drama thread a few days ago. I wonder if it's because Selectric is such an iconic typewriter, or if it's just too hard to find as many as they need of older models?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

In later episodes, they did change the typewriter on Peggy's desk, and relegated the SIIs to the background.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Timelies. Posting from Maine (up much earlier than I wanted to be - ce la vi).

Just thought I'd add to the pet discussion (albeit late). My brother and his wife, who have 5 cats? Now have a sixth. He's a wee adorable thing, though. Someone one of them works with found him out by her house where someone had dumped him and his siblings (assumed - only one other kitten was found). He's only about 5 weeks old, and barely weighs more than a pound. He's been a bit sickly, but that's why my brother and his wife took him in (they've nursed more than one of their cats back when they've gotten them). No pictures, I'm afraid, but you can take my word that Chauncey is a leathal cuteness bomb of fluff.

I did, however, inform M**** & M**** that they were one more step on the road to crazy cat people-dom.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Huh, Karl Rove is resigning at the end of the month. (Why do I suspect that this means that Bush will appoint him as a Special Prosecutor to investigate the US Attorney firings or something?)

It should be good news, but I'm too suspicious of CheneyCo to celebrate, much.

In other news, the HR guy was not able to get me reinstated for COBRA, so I'm uninsured until 9/1. Please send just a little health-ma so that I continue in my general state of wellness until then....

Now tagless for your comfort.

Theo, Rove's not qualified to be a special prosecutor (He doesn't have a college degree as far as I know. He avoided Vietnam by enrolling part time and then dropping out). I was hoping he'd leave office under indictment but you can't have everything, can you?

He's going to start making money on the public speaking circuit and writing a book, guaranteed.

Health~ma for you this month (and beyond). Take some vitamins and get plenty of rest.
