Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

bananas:

Driving through the desert at night in an old American convertible during a meteor shower.

I have always wanted to do this. Or maybe a pickup truck, so I could park and lie in the bed where the rattlesnakes can't get to me.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I have always wanted to do this.

Maybe next year I'll have my old convertible ready for such a trip. It just needs some minor work. Possibly the timing chain and gears needs to be replaced. And maybe the engine needs some bottom-end work.... The AM radio doesn't work - maybe it needs a vacuum tube or two....

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Are you Yellow? I'm Blue! It's like Garanimals!

I AM a Yellow! It really is like Garanimals.

If I hadn't been sold before, this would have put me over the edge. I am going there tomorrow.

Seriously, women who are size 14 and up, get thee to a Lane Bryant.
My brain put this together wrong and I was thinking, dammit, I can't wear a 14. Oh! "AND UP". I can do that.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I've always wanted to really be able to see at big meteor shower. I'd probably have to drive an hour or so to be away from the light pollution in Atlanta, and I never seem to be somewhere you can actually see the sky on the same schedule as the big meteor events.

Yay, brenda on the new place! It looks lovely!

Boo, ING on not giving Kat's friend the $. I had my DH open an account with my code (er, two years ago maybe?) and we both got $50, so it worked for us. When we moved here we got our first shared accounts - otherwise we'd been doing everything separately. Now he pays all the bills and the rent with my paycheck and his goes straight to savings. Not that he's actually gotten a regular paycheck since we've been here, but soon!

We used to hike up to the parks in the hills of the East Bay to see the meteors. Sad now.

I gave SA a ride in it once - she can attest as to how often I get questions and compliments shouted at me as I drive it.

Really, I have never gotten so much attention from complete strangers as when I drive that car. It's almost too much for this poor introverted boy....

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Took my folks to the National Aquarium in Baltimore.(I hadn't been there before, either) Lots of stuff to see and quite enjoyable. Then we had dinner in Little Italy with G's dad and stepmom. Mmmm....
