I'm just, uh, just feeling kinda... truthsome right now. And, uh... life's just too damn short for ifs and maybes.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm in a Panera in Manchester CT -- traffic has been horrendous, truly awful, from construction delays to rollovers, plus I've missed turns twice and gone miles out of my way. So I decided to get a sandwich and then saw there was a Panera right off the damn exit and I was like "I'm SAVED!"

Seriously, one of the worst drives not due to weather that I can remember. Probably if I wasn't bone tired it wouldn't feel quite so bad, but it would still be bad....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Go, paperdol! Losing while still having the things you want sometimes is the best.

Poor yellow Gracie.

I just got through the last Pile O' Paper. Yay! There's stuff to file and deal with still, but STILL. I do have one super embarassing situation: I found the check my grandmother sent me for my birthday last December, which she just recently called and asked about, and I swore I had gotten it (which, of course, I had....). Should I just shred it, or do I need to confess?

Now I'm starving.

PS: Anyone interested in opening an ING savings account? If I give you some code, and you open the account with at least $250, you get $25 from ING, and I get $10. Sweet deal all the way around!

brillig

Our cats not only sleep with us, they sleep on us. When my cat isn't having psychotic breaks and imagining many things in the house he needs to check out, he curls up in my hair. I find listening to him breathing to be very soothing. Hubby sleeps best when his cat is snuggled in tight against his hip.

I grew up with "cats and dogs outside at night", but I took very readily to having a small, purring thingie snuggled up with me at night.

I've recently taking to locking the cats out of the bedroom overnight, as they keep trying to wake me up far too early -- like 4 or 5 AM early.

Jesse, if you put $2500 in, do you get $250 as a bonus?

No, it's just the $25.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

brenda, the new place looks fantastic!

Did anyone else go "Bwuh?" and think of DX Machina, and wonder where you missed backstory?

Apparently not. Sorry!

My cats always slept in my bed. I put a comforter over it in the daytime to cut down on the fur. Falling asleep with a cat is a great way to bond and build their trust in you. One doesn't, after all, fall asleep in the presence of an enemy. Also, the purring. As for getting hair everywhere, I do that myself.

That urinal game is a great idea. Alas, women would have to have special equipment to play.

Grace looks awfully cute, despite the Yellow.

Theodosia, I hate it when that happens! May the rest of the trip be easy.

don't believe them! We tried this a while ago and my friend neither got her $25 nor me my $10.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Man, that sucks! I've been perfectly satisfied with them as a place to keep my savings just out of my own reach, but that... well, sucks.

Huh. I did it with a link from our very own Nora, and did get the $25. Don't know if she got the $10.
