The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Today is never going to end, is it?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Not from where I'm sitting.

Oh! But I just found jackass designer (who, by the way, was out of here at 5 on the dot) is outta here for good next week! And not because of anything I said, since I said it all to you.

(Although I think I shocked my new manager when she told me and my response was "oh thank god, I was about to stab him.")

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Huh, I've gone to dinner and come back and still people are working?

I touched base with a very good recruiter who seemed actually excited to work with me. Trying not to get too excited in turn here. And the HR guy from my old job is still trying to get my medical insurance cancellation revoked, so at least there's a smidge of hope there, too.

Art Crawl!!!

I've never had Luzianne -- but Alton Brown went to their warehouse on Feasting on Asphalt last week. Very interesting. Plus - isn't it bound to be better than Lipton because it's not saving the "best tea" for the non- US market?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Speaking of tea I have recently become addicted to English Breakfast. At the pretentious hospital they told me that they had it, but served me English Teatime.

I don't have a subtle enough tongue to do other than register disappointment that I didn't get the kick I was geared up for. But these are the same people that said their yoghurt didn't have artificial sweeteners. Wolfgang Puck, my ass. The cream of wheat was good, and the pasta primavera serviceable, and the hot chocolate really nice.

a menu created by world-renowned chef Wolfgang Puck. Each meal is prepared to order in our kitchen by Wolfgang’s on-site staff, with the same uniquely individualized service which personifies his award-winning restaurants. The menu will include items with only the finest, freshest, organic and hormone-free ingredients

Is just bullshit.

And now I want good not-sweet hot chocolate.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

They don't mention that the menu will also include other items.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I love not-sweet iced tea with lots of lemon, too! In fact, just pass the sugar bowl to the next person when you give me iced tea, 'cause I don't want any of it.

I'm a stickler for black coffee, too.

Our wings are not tired.

Same here, Kathy. No sugar please.

I didn't make coffee this morning for the first time in forever. Made tea instead. I've been downing a 12 cup pot of black coffee before lunch then having tea and/or diet pepsi in the afternoon. Figured it was about time I cut out a bit of that caffeine.

Right now I'm drinking a Mike's Hard cranberry lemonade. Very yummy. They don't sell wine in grocery stores here so I bought the Mike's instead. Tasty change of pace, but still a wino at heart.

See, I thought getting the steak was a surefire Wolfgang Puck opportunity, but it was poor steak and the worst mashed potatoes ever.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Two nights ago, I took a damp kitchen towel and rubbed it over the carpet. Between the living room and the dining room, I harvested a full plastic grocery bag full of black cat hair. So, the vacumn cleaner is definitely not working on the hair front.

Kathy, we use the One Sweep broom for the pet hair. Sorry for the annoying sound on the website. You can find them on sale at CVSs for $10. They're really good for picking up the hair.

That made me happy.

That's a kick-ass review!

Owen and I are watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before he goes to bed. Friday nights are late bedtime so we can hopefully sleep in a teeny bit tomorrow morning.
