Or maybe you could just be Buffy, he'll see your amazing heart, and he'll fall in love with you.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Yeah. It kinda seems like I'm hearing the volume on misogyny being turned up. One of our paper's columnists had a freakout over teh churches being overrun with the wimmins. Plus all the "Edwards is such a girl" crap as insult.

My brain wants to connect it with post-9/11 pro-war stuff, but I don't have the space or time right now to flesh that out.

I think it may be more to get the "faithful" riled up over the possibility of Hilary Clinton presidency.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

The columnist in question is a Catholic, so it's not just the Baptists.

Coding and Sleeping

and three hours on the "biblical model for the home and family."

Presumably with concubines?

You really don't want to be widow without a male heir in that model.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

You can come to my apartment and clean any time you want, msbelle.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's my plan too, Jesse. I wonder if it will happen.

We can do it!!

msbelle, I was also thinking about Target if you have any interest.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm going to go to Target on my way home tonight! I wonder if I'll remember to buy cleaning supplies.

Coding and Sleeping

I could stop by Target on the way home to pick up some rolls for dinner just to fit in.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I'm probably better off not clicking on DJ's Baptist linky thing, lest my brains also go all 'splodey.

My plans for the weekend:

Tomorrow, probably heading down to Gilroy for RenFaire workshops (not that I'll be working full-time, or even going down more than maybe two weekends, but since I've worked more than 5 years before, I'm eligible for a performer's gate pass, i.e., free admission, after a single day of workshops).

And it's just now occurred to me that possibly Matilda and I could stop off somewhere along the way in the a.m. to meet Lee for breakfast or earlyish brunch. Is't possible, Lee?

Sunday: Take Matilda to visit her grandfather, church, possibly visit my friend Lisa and give her my breast pump.

Hec will have plenty of alone time for...um...stuff.
