weekend plans: tonight, driving up to New Hampshire. Tomorrow and Sunday, lounge around drinking beer, taking boat rides, swimming, dozing, and eating on an island in Lake Winnipisake.
Say "Hi" to President Sarkozy for me.
IOW have nice trip and hope the media circus isn't too bad there.
Getting things done here, and then heading home to finish cleaning the apartment before getting at least a few hours sleep before Mom arrives at noonish to spend the week.
I hope she doesn't expect to have an adventurous weekend, because I'm going to be damn tired after today.
Oh, and weekend plans are driving to Maine tomorrow for an annual family get-together (at one of my sisters this year) on Sunday. I have Monday off (wheeeeee!), which is when I'll be coming back (hopefully on the early side).
IOW have nice trip and hope the media circus isn't too bad there.
That dude ain't on my island.
Weekend:

"Mermaids and Pirates" birthday party for 18+ 4 year olds a 30-minute drive away
Sunday errands unfinished from Saturday

3rd annual Peach festival at a friend's house (food and bluegrass jam)
Baptist seminary launching homemaking program
t righteous fury
That tag's not gonna close.
ETA: It's this line that makes my brain 'splodey " It will offer a bachelor of arts in humanities degree with a 23-hour concentration in homemaking. The program is only open to women."
Holy crap, it's cold outside. It must have dropped ten degrees this afternoon. 25 degrees from yesterday.
it is here, too, Tom... weird!
this weekend:
making food for a saturday eve gathering
sanding my kitchen 'pantry' doors so I can paint them with blackboard paint
possible gardening
possible cleaning
and please please please let the paid for raw lumber for our floors be delivered
Yeah, it's apparently 58 degrees outside. Good thing I was wearing a nice cute summery outfit that I planned for when it was 95 out!
My big plan for the weekend is serious housecleaning. Not just straightening so it's not embarassing if anyone else came in. Cleaning floors, carpet, dealing with stacks of paper, etc. For reals.
