Oy, ita, is all I can think to say. I hope you get some relief after a crazy day and that having your family here is a good time.

Stay dry and safe! people of New York.

I am all at once a bit stoned on cold meds and hopped up on Caffeine. My system doesn't know what to do with itself.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

ita, I hope things are looking better today. Or, failing that, that you get a Bobbi-clone at the next change of nurse shifts.

New Yorkers, stay dry!

It's supposed to be 102 here today. Again. This is not something that should come with an "again"!

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

ita, I wish you relief, for reals.

Don't drown, NYCistas! No Apocalypse before the Horsemen arrive...

It's also going to be wicked hot here, prediction of 96 for today.

Ways To Know It's Fair Time in the Midwest: A radio show this morning was playing a rousing game of "Will It Lick Me?" (Host went to the fair yesterday, meets the petting zoo, caller predicts whether or not he got licked in the face.) Hot times, people.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Okay, so it does seem to be the apocalypse. Interesting.

Bobbi, the itching is definitely dilaudid--I get that every ER visit. It's usually evened out by the Benadryl, but I'm only on PCA for the dilaudid, so it gets out of whack (Hmm. I need an etymology for that expression (can you have etymology for expressions?)) The swelling is new, and I've definitely had more dilaudid than this in a shorter period, so who the hell knows?

He's going back to see if I can get another Benadryl shot.

I am majorly apologising to the current nurse. My standard rhythm is to bitch, whimper, get relief, apologise. These are people I want on my side.

Hmm. So much for not using this as a blog.

Oh, two other missives from here: I bought two large styrofoam planes. They've had a workout.

Sunday night, we went to an old school drive-thru. Double features and all. Screen set in a swamp. Dirt lot, lawn chairs, illegal booze, teenagers necking in the back seat in the back rows, train track behind the projection booth, the whole bit. Of course a train came through at the climax of both films (missable films, one that pissed me off, but whatever. Drive-thru! In a swamp! ) Was sorta fun, even if I could've done without the Simpsons and that damned latest Adam Sandler film. Uhg. But I played with T through most of that. He was much less offensive, even with baby puke.

Dog is my co-pilot.

It's supposed to be 102 here today. Again. This is not something that should come with an "again"!

Same here and I wholeheartedly agree. It was muggy when I took the dogs out at 5:00 am. That's just wrong. And our air quality has been lousy, too.

ita, my best to you. I'm glad you are able to come here to vent or whatever, if only because it got you fuzzy socks last night (I'm just caught up.)

msbelle - Aug 08, 2007 3:59:46 am PDT #3294 of 10001
I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I cannot even get on the mta service advisory page to get updates on service. awesome.

mac is out of the house at least, thank you grandma! - Over anhour to get him dressed today. For everyone's info - I am a mean and rude person, not his real mom, a bad mom, and in general really really bad.

ita, so sorry for your hellish time of it. I wish we had a reserve of support money somewhere and a good chunk of folk could take some unpaid time off of work committments, just to free up that space and stress.

Aims - Aug 08, 2007 4:02:28 am PDT #3295 of 10001
Shit's all sorts of different now.

Oh msbelle, I am so sorry you had to hear all of that this morning. You are not mean and rude, you are his real mom, a great mom, and really, really good. IMHO.

How do these kids know so young just what to say that hurts the most sometimes?

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

I swear to God, Ricardo Montalban is doing a voice on "Dora the Explorer" right now.

I shall have to employ the POWER OF THE INTERNETS to verify.
