Navajo tradition is when a baby first laughs, the person who made him/her laugh throws them a big bash. Then during the party, you put candy in the hand of the baby and help them to give it to each person who attends. Then the baby will be generous throughout her/his life.
That's awesome! I'll have to remember that.
I used to work with a Dana-sounds-like-Donna (she said it was because she's Italian, which sounds legit), but my immediately-prior job had a Dana-sounds-like-Dana, so it was hard for me to remember sometimes.
Skipping madly ahead of the entire new thread to ask an urgent make-up question:
Does anyone know of a good foundation/powder that is pale with a pink base? Everything I can find is too yellow for my skin, even the lightest ones. I'm not "ivory", I'm "porcelain", apparently; but I don't want to shell out any more $$ for foundations that don't work if I can get some tips.
SUCH A CUTE BABY SMILE!
Ahem. Sorry about the asscaps. Dylan made me do it.
Zenkitty - I found that shelling out the extra bucks for Prescriptives is well worth the money. Or the mineral stuff that everyone around here uses.
Jessica - I'ma come to NY and steal your baby. Please have him packed and ready to go. Ta.

You totally have to do it. It's such a cool tradition. Also, they're just very fun parties, full of joy and celebration for the baby's new life.
Zenkitty,
I need cool make-up as well, but I'm not quite porcelain. I've had good luck with L'Oreal's True Match C2 (so maybe C1 for you if you're a bit paler).
If you're willing to spend a bit more, I like Smashbox's wet/dry foundation powder in Petal (it's a bit pale for me so it may work even better for you.)
Sorry about the asscaps. Dylan made me do it.
He's tricksy that way.

Sure thing!
(psst - nobody tell Aimee this is a trick to get her to visit me, k?)
Thanks, Aimee and megan. I'll try all those, starting with the cheapest!
(I'm not cheap, really! I just loathe spending money.)
