Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Holy CRAP, Kat! That's just evil!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Seriously, what the fuck? Is there any way it got moved for safekeeping or some shit? Because that's damn evil.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In awesome news, one of the ridiculous things I bought at the grocery store was some frozen mozzarella garlic bread, and it was a brilliant move. I just ate way too much of it, but less overall than if I had ordered the cheesy bread plus pizza combo from Domino's, and it totally filled the same greasy need.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That is evil. What is wrong with people?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I miss greasy food. I'd love a slice of pizza and a Coke.

In fairness, it may have just gotten misplaced when they took her to surgery last week or yesterday. But we checked all of the drawers under her bed and in her dresser and it wasn't there. And Jacques had her name on it.

People anger me.

Dog is my co-pilot.

Kat, how lax is security that someone could take it? I know hospitals always say to bring belongings in at your own risk, but how does something suspended over a baby's bed disappear? I'd put up another one, but before leaving it, I'd open a seam, insert a security transponder, and sew it back up. (I hope they have security transponders on babies there.) I hope there's a reasonable explanation--like a nurse took it home to clean it. But if that's the case, there should have been a note.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Kat, I hope it does just turn out to be misplaced. That's crappy as hell otherwise.

Hec alert.

Bobbi, they don't lowjack the babies in the NICU because when you hear about baby snatching, it's always the fat healthy babies. I mean, seriously? You can't snatch Grace because she comes with a ventilator, an IV stand, and two monitors. Plus NICUs tend to be locked wards -- even at Children's you need to be let in by the nurse; you can't just walk in.

(Related: Noah had surgery on Monday and he had an overnight in the Peds unit at his old hospital. While in the NICU there, he was never security tagged, but in Peds he was. Again, it's too hard to steal a NICU baby, but a Peds baby is easier).

I hope it just got misplaced. But, I would say that it wouldn't be surprising if it walked out with someone. At least the books that paperdol brought Grace are still there. But I guess no one steals books in the ghetto.
