"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Carrot Top in manpris. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Sometimes I think manpris are cute. THERE I SAID IT.

I vote this as the most unfortunate back-to-back posting I've seen in a while.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Passed by this burning auto dealership on my way to and from lunch today.

I used to wear T-shirts and jeans, and switched to rayon button downshort-sleeve shirts when I discovered they were more comfortable. (Looking slightly more professional is completely incidental.) I don't think I'd take a job that requires suit and tie, though I suppose going to business casual would mainly involve buying a few more pairs of khakis.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The shorts-wearing woman has also shown up wearing a jacket with no blouse underneath--I can verify this because it was definitely bra lace peeking through her clumsily pinned outerwear.

Oy. I do hope I keep my underwear hidden.

I won't get to go hide during lunch today. Am sad.

Punishingly Intricate

I'm wearing a bright blue American Apparel tee (of the thicker cotton variety, some of their shirts are too thin) and denim just above the knee skirt and black wedge sandals. Bare legs. Because it is Baltimore in August and I am not an idiot. Another important element of my outfit--necklace with tiny blue and green beads and a little clear um..plastic? encased bright blue flower.

I really don't know what I'd do if I couldn't wear tee-shirts in the summer!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Crocs: cute & practical or shoes of the devil?

I just got Owen a pair and he's decorating them with Jibbitz.

DH came home from work early so I have a choice: futz around on the internet or go to the gym and work out/swim?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think Crocs are cute for little kids, but nsm for grownups. Mostly I think they're cute on Violet Affleck.

Oh, have I mentioned here how excited I am that my childhood crush wrote the script for Gone Baby Gone (Dennis Lehane book), which is coming out in October?? And starring Casey Affleck, which is the connection there.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Crocs = cute and practical. Em has a pair of fuschia knock-offs.

Think I need a pair myself.

And looks like no Gaelic Storm for us, but a movie instead.

Also? Joe sent me flowers. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Black lace trimmed tank, green and blue random "ethnic store" skirt (knee length), crocheted jackety thing, Birks.

Tasteful diamond studs and solitaire necklace, my wedding set, and a vintage diamond ring.

The usual. Though often, you could swap the skirt for yoga pants.

AWWWWWW!

I'm babysitting for a friend Saturday so she can see The Prodigals and Flogging Molly at the Irish Festival.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Paisley cotton skirt in orange, brown, and purple. Brown v-neck t-shirt, brown braided flip flops.

Wedding set and great-grandma's ring.

Boss is pretty lax about his own business casual. He's always in jeans cause he's out on jobsites. We occasionaly have a casual Friday. Hmm...might ask for one tomorrow.
