I can't really make out the name of this one, but it looks like F something or I something Cornbread (It's got water stains all over).
2 beaten eggs
3/4 cup oil
8 oz sour cream
2 chopped pimentos
2 tsp chopped hot peppers
1 1/2 cups corn meal
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 small can creamed corn
It says to bake at 400 in a 9" pan. "Put in half and sprinkle with sharp cheese & then put in other half cover with cheese"
Black Eyed Pea Cornbread
1 lb pork sausage
1 onion
1 cup cornmeal
1/2 flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp soda
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
chopped peppers to taste (green, red, jalapeno)
3/4 cup cream corn
8 oz grated cheddar cheese
15 oz can (2 cups) black-eyed peas
Cook sausage and onion until brown. Drain.
Combine cornmeal and other dry ingredients
Beat eggs, buttermilk, and oil together and combine with dry ingredients
Add sausage, onions, peppers, corn, cheese and peas
Bake in loaf pan or 9x13 pan @ 350 for 50-55 min
Crawfish cornbread
2 boxes Jiffy cornbread mix
6 eggs
1 oz shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cups chopped jalapeno
3/4 cup oil
1 or 2 lb crawfish
2 cans creamed corn
8 oz cheese for top
Bake in loaf pan at 375 for 50 min to an hour
Bonus recipe! Indian Fried Bread
8 cups self rising flour
2 tsp
2 tsp salt
3 cups hot water
Mix in bowl. Knead until smooth. make ball about the size of a fist-flatten it out and let rise a few minutes. Then, fry in about 1 1/2-2 in shortening. Fry to golden brown.
