I got to the end of the alphabet.

Punishingly Intricate

The problem is, I actually know the priorities, and they are all #1!!

Oh yeah I am familiar with that scenario!

Since everything can't be priority #1, does it make you tempted to have NOTHING be priority #1?

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Who told you all about Project Donkey? Higgins! Destroy the computer cores, alert all operatives we've been compromised, fuel the jet and get ready to fly to Borneo. Call the Swiss bank and have them transfer all funds to the Caribbean account and destroy the contents of Lockbox #423.

Curse you all! I was so close!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And these are larger projects, not tasks. FYI.

Also, could she please talking to other people in the organization as if I don't know how to do my job? I mean SERIOUSLY.

Fuck.

Noah is being super fussy today (eye exams do that). But he doesn't want to be held. So he's in the moses basket on the floor giving me this look of, "pick me up! I'm cute and alert and not crying. You know you want to snuggle me and hold me." But as soon as you do, he wails because it's too much stimulation.

He's such a boy. Fickle to the very roots.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hm. I think I need to sit down and have this conversation with myself. I have no idea what's urgent right now, and this is the least stressful time of my year. I have got to get things worked out. Summer is almost over! The build is almost started! Ten million people are coming to visit! (Okay, maybe twelve, but not a people person here.) All I seem to manage to do is hang out and hit craigslist umpty times a day.

Also, my current house scores 15 on the walkability scale, and that's before the coffeeshop & grocery stores nearest here closed down. Still, I find it walkable. I have my coffee at the local bakery on the corner. There are several walkable restaurants, a drugstore, two building supply companies, soon to be three, and the Walmart if you want to consider that a grocery. There's only really the one bookstore in town if you don't count the LDS ones, so that's not walkable, but it is on the bus line, which also stops directly across the street from me. I went without a car for a week out of every month last year and never missed it.

Anyway. My new house lists as a 5, and that's probably about right. There's the "Little Bit Saloon" and a tiny mom & pop convenience store within walking distance. But that's pretty much it. Although the map doesn't show the extensive recreation stuff in the area, because it's all private. But I'll be able to walk to the lake and beach and stuff. The big thing I'm worried about is the bus situation. It doesn't come up there (7 miles out of town). I can call for it to come up to the airport, but it'll be by special appointment (and will make all the other riders late and irritable with me) and it may take much much longer. And that's assuming I can find a way to get to the airport.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have SO asked a boss to prioritize for me and been told that everything on my list was #1 priority and #1 importance. Does not work well.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Obviously, "#1 priority and importance" needs to be subdivided into 1a, 1b, etc....
